  2. I go fishing no matter what the pressure is. It doesnt seem to have much affect as far as my fishing goes. I do have a barometer...It's called the weather channel. ;D ;D ;D
  3. I have not seen a knockoff of the Ika but I have doubts that it would be as good as the GYCB Ika........Those are just killer!

  7. O.K.......This is EXACTLY why this website is so killer! Everyone is so helpful and there is nothing you cannot learn here! ;D ;D ;D.............ReelMech and Raul..............Thanks A Ton!!!!!! (Especially for the pictures!!!!!) You guys are the BEST!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D
  8. Personally, I would never buy a spinning reel with a rear drag. I cant really tell you the why of it, maybe it's because I have always used front drag reels. I just know I feel more comfortable with the drag on the front.
  9. O.k. so, I know that when you normally buy a reel, they have a little picture in there that shows where to apply reel grease and oil. Unfortunatly, I never look at those and now I wish I did. I have no idea where to apply oil or grease on my reels. If someone has a picture(and that's important as I am not too mechanically inclined) as to where to apply, that would be greatly appreciated! Mu buddy said to me, "you put the grease on moving parts and the oil blah, blah, blah.........I really could use a picture of where to apply not directions..........a link would be helpful as well. Thanks all! ;D
  10. I have personally caught that world record about 10 times!!! ;D ;D ;D
  11. Hola! Me gutso pescado mucho! ;D
  12. Well 1st, Welcome to the forum! Now you might want to read the fishing articles they have posted on this site. It has all you need to know about fishing for bass. You might want to start at the beginner's section and work from there. I think this will be the most helpful to you. ;D
  13. I'm gonna have to agree with the rat-l-trap. Personally however, I like the excalibur brand of traps the best. The finish on them is just awesome and they are VERY loud in the water. Just my .02 ;D
  14. If someone has a pic of this, please post it. I would like to see what this looks like. ;D
  15. A subscription to Bass magazine is a must in my book.(sorry bout the pun!) There is soooo much valuable info in that magazine. BASS also has a set of books about bass as well that you can buy if you wish but the magazine is a definate for me. Also, like you said, go spend some time and read the articles that are right here on BR. There is a TON of info in those as well! ;D
  16. Sounds to me like the bait monkey has a MAJOR crush on you! ;D
  17. Throwing a buzzbait here in Colorado this time of year? Might be interesting to see how far it would slide on the ice. ;D
  18. Personally, I like to have a jig with a lot of bulk in the winter. I will often use a 3/8 oz jig and put 2 skirts on it.......... ;D Of course, I have been know to use a finesse jig in the winter as well.........I guess that didnt help much huh. ;D
  19. I waer the Natives..........I wouldnt think of switching............... ;D
  20. I'm gonna have to go with Zoom as well.
  21. I've been using fluro for years..............I'm a bit partial to Seaguar...........Seaguar also makes a new Fluro called Invisxxx that is tough to find right now as it's not available everywhere but it's the best LINE I have ever used. As with Gamma, Seaguar is not cheap. For a spool of 200 yards of 8 lb test, expect to pay about $14.00, but it's worth it to me............
  22. Nice set-up! I have a Viento as well and I love it! Good Luck! ;D
  23. I hope the little one gets one big enough to barely fit in that net! ;D
  24. I can help! Why dont you send that bad boy to me and I'll spend it for you! ;D ;D ;D
  25. You might check out the logs that they have here on the website under "tacklebox". I printed off about 1000 of those bad boys and I think they pretty much cover everything. ;D
