  1. You can find rod repair kits at most of the major stores like Bass Pro Shops, Cabela's, Sportsman's Warehouse, etc...........I think you can also find them at Wally World................
  2. Just my opinion here, but I would not use the swimbaits. A senko will work in almost any situation but I think if it were me, I would avoid using the swimbaits and concentrate on something that will move water and attract attention in the murky water....Spinnerbait in chartruse or a rat-l-trap would be what I was throwing. I will throw a Senko in almost any water condition and catch fish with them...especially in the darker colors.............I'm sure you'll get some good responses on this subject. Good Luck! ;D ;D ;D
  3. I use tubes probably 70% of the time fishing for smallmouth. I ALWAYS use a crooked creek 2 1/2 in tube in green pumpkin with balck and copper flake(or green pumpkin with black and purple flake) and use a 1/8 oz (sometimes depending on the wind I will also use a 1/16 oz) jighead inserted into the tube. When it comes to largemouth, I dont use them as much but when I do, I also use micro munch tubes texas rigged.(Got that from RW, thanks man!)
  4. I know that the big swim baits are the in thing for Cali, but if I were you, dont forget about the drop-shot in those deep clear lakes they have out there.................
  5. I am pretty sure that the smallie weighs more than 3 ounces..................Maybe our weights are wayyyy of here in Colorado.......
  6. You say................."Baby, I am attracted to you no matter what you wear".............that'll get you off the lake and into the bedroom in no time! ;D ;D
  7. Personally, I never use heavier than 10 lb for a crankbait and usually go with 8 lb Seaguar.................
  8. Hmmm............I'll go with: 27.5 on the blue... 4/10 on the Bronze.....and 4/2 on the Striper......................
  9. oops..........I guess I should have read ALL the posts before answering....Hmmmmmmm.......I think i'll say..........2/14.....................Whoo Hoo!!! ;D ;D ;D
  10. 3 lbs, 4 oz..................
  11. Try dragging a tube or a GYCB fat ika off those ledges.......... ;D
  12. Hola! Me Gusto pescado mucho!! ;D ;D ;D

Hola! Me Gusto................Oh wait. I know you huh...........Everybody, this is my fishing partner.....We've been fishing together for about 6 years now....We joined the Denver Bassmasters together. He actually won rookie of the year our 1st year(Dumb Luck!) ..........He loves his fishing, loves his beer and LOVES his mad man craws! Glad to see you here J! ;D
  14. My buddy in the Denver Bassmasters is thinking of getting a new set-up for crankin medium diving crankbaits(10-12 ft).....he would like everyones opinion on what kind of rig they would use for this purpose? Secondly, he had another guy in the club tell him that everyone using a 6 to 1 ratio or above is using a reel that is too fast and need to buy a slower ratio reel. Opinions on that topic would be appreciated as well...........
  15. I think I'll stick with pitchin & flippin.......... ;D
  16. I LOVE using a shaky head. This works really well when the bass are tight-lipped. Good job on the fish! Next time, WE WANT PICS! ;D
  17. Well, personally, I would not use a lizard as a trailer for a jig. A jig is a craw imitation and I think you need something that would resemble a craw when using a jig. Zoom super-chunk, Uncle Josh pork frog, double tail grub, something along those lines.........Just my .02...........but as bass-brat said, what works for one doesnt mean its for everyone else......Experiment and let us know how it works! ;D
  18. Tubes, Tubes, Tubes............. ;D ;D ;D
  19. Well, I have never used braid as I dont care for it at all..........but the guys I fish with who use it seem to like the power pro the best........... ;D Sorry i couldnt come up with a better reply!
  20. I like 3/0 and 4/0 owner............... ;D

Hola! Me gusto pescado mucho! Welcome!!! ;D ;D ;D
  22. Add me into the group that would never fish this bait with a weight..........If I needed weight, I start switchin plastics but some plastics I ONLY fish weightless................and the Ika would be one of them..............Just my .02...................
  23. Start fishing deep water structure. The big ones can always be found there...........It's where they live! ;D ;D
  24. I have a G-loomis gl3 and I love it! You would do very well with either G-loomis, or the St. Croix..........another you might look at(this is what Rod I have for my Viento) is the Diawa light and tough series..........They are great rods as well and not quite as expensive..........
  25. Very nice..........You can count me in the G Loomis lovers group. I have 5 G Loomis rods and they are FANTASTIC! Be sure to post the pics of the fish you catch! Best of luck! ;D
