  1. It's all I used growing up and my dad still uses nothing but stren original to this day. He thinks I'm weird because I use different line for different applications. I would still use it except that I stock up on BPS Excel whenever it's on sale.

$1.79 in Gardner, KS yesterday. Cost me $40 for just over 3/4 of a tank in my truck.
  3. Let me know when you have a couple for me to "test"........
  4. You are correct. Luckily I've avoided that. I usually don't even touch them anymore, just use pliers and shake them off over the side of the boat.
  5. Pflueger Supreme MGX and Supreme XT.
  6. I got an MGX for $37 at dicks a few weeks ago and ordered the XT from cabelas for $89 two weeks ago. I wish I had seen the sale when they were $75, but I can't complain about getting that reel for $90.
  7. Putting at mill creek would be a good option. We stayed at a resort near there at the end of June last year and I did pretty well. The KC bridge is within sight and there are a good amount of deep docks around that area to drop shot or fish spoons. Bunches of roll out points right around from our resort that produced for me. Several islands as well.
  8. Yes. The tournament MG is a good option as well for only $30 more.
  9. Unless they're shut down for scheduled maintenance they're always generating. They usually shut down for about a month around February or March. And you can call the guard house for reports. 620-364-2475
  10. I've got another Shimano Sedona 2500FD that I'm going to sell, anybody in the area interested for $30 before I put it in the flea market? It's probably about 9/10 cosmetically and mecanically.
  11. St Croix Rage. To me both the casting and spinning are very sensitive rods. I have the 6'10" M/XF spinning for tubes and wacky rigs and the 7'1" MH/F and MH/XF casting rods for jigs and trigs.
  12. Pflueger Supreme XT 9230 from cabelas for $89 yesterday. When I ordered it there were only 12 left, at least that's what the confirmation email told me, and now you can't even find them on their website. Great deal!!!!
  13. They probably won't have to, I'm sure we'll beat ourselves.
  14. Looks like the old "Pro Qualifier Combo" rod that they slapped some paint on. I think you would be better off going to academy like gulfcaptain stated and put together a combo with their house brand stuff. Their rods are very good quality and I've heard good things about their reels. They also have some of their exclusive lew's reels on sale right now that would probably serve you well.
  15. Glad to sell it to somebody local. Enjoy!!
  16. I like to keep it simple and marinated them in some kind of asian sauce and then grill to medium rare. Just like steak IMO if it's not overcooked.
  17. Same here, big fan of the previous model Sahara and Symetre but not so much the new models. I sold my Sahara FE and a couple sedonas and am replacing them with a Supreme MGX that I got for $37 at Dick's last week (thank you BR) and a couple presidents. This supreme would be a good deal at regular price but at the price I paid it was a steal!
  18. You got it man. I'll pm you.
  19. I'm a big fan of the FD model but when they upraded to the FE they changed the stem a little so that it has more of a bend to it. My sausage fingers don't fit in it very well so I'm going to stick with the 4 FD reels I have and get a couple Pflueger Presidents.
  20. Done. Send me a PM to figure where and when we can meet.
  21. Best picture I could get with having my wife take it on her phone. It's in like new condition since I haven't used it much.
  22. Going to post it in the flea market but I figured I would check to see if anyone local is interested. Selling a 2500 Shimano Sedona and a 3000 Sahara FE. Both are in excellent shape. Thinking $30 for the Sedona and $60 for the Sahara, or $80 if someone wanted both.
  23. You guys would do that on the one night my wife had something going on.....
