Kistler Rod Pricing?
I would agree . Kistler doesn't make guides.

Thoughts On The Ozark Rig
Johnny Schultz does live in the ozarks, but it was he and Matt Steffan who developed it. They are the owners of core tackle.

Thoughts On The Ozark Rig
I have some. Obviously, the weight is distributed differently than a swimbait hook. Just dropping it alongside the boat you can see it has a gliding action while it falls. Game changer? I don't know but it does work as advertised and doesn't take a nosedive like a T-Rig or Shakey head.

My experience with Edge.
I decided to try an Edge Delta 705. I was a little concerned after all the customer service horror stories but on sale for $ 150 and free shipping I thought what the Heck and I always liked the NFC blanks. I have to say in my case it was a great experience. The kept me informed via email through the whole process. I ordered on the 9th and received the rod on the 25th. I wanted to duplicate the old Loomis 843. The 705 MBR is maybe a half step stronger, I would say it's an 843.5. but Edge calls it a light medium heavy. Anyway, the build is fine and the rod fishes great and super versatile like the 843. The tube they ship in is the strongest I've ever seen. and they use metal end caps. No complaints here.

Heavy crankbait rod
You may want to check out the new Fenwick HMG reaction bait series. I have the 7ft2 MH that I throw chatterbaits on and it's the deal. especially at $150. We don't have much of a deep crankbait bite around here, but I wouldn't hesitate to throw a DD22 on it.

What applications, if any do you prefer mono for and which do you prefer fluro for?
I'd like to hear your reasoning for using flouro only on squarebills and not on spinnerbaits, diving baits or Flukes ect.

Daiwa is slacking in the round reels department
Everyone is entitled to their opinion as to what's perfectly normal. As I said, fish whatever you like. Me personally, I wouldn't use one on my plug knocker anymore and I'm far from a stranger to round reels. But I'm not that guy who obsess over reels. I'm much more concerned about where I will find 'em tomorrow after this rain

Daiwa is slacking in the round reels department
I wouldn't judge popularity by how many show up on the used market. If anything it shows that they aren't sticking with the original owners. Sounds like you assume you know the market for round reels. If you like them more power to you.

Daiwa is slacking in the round reels department
There probably a small percentage of enthusiast's that still have a interest in them . For me they are deader than Abe Lincoln and I grew up fishing them.

Mean Mouth
I caught one last year out of Table Rock that I'm sure was well over 4lbs. I sent a pic to my buddy who guides here as soon as I turned it loose . He said did you weigh it ? I've never seen one that big. I hadn't either . I thought I just released a lake record... A quick visit to the Missouri dept. of conservation web page revealed that the record was over 6. Whew. It was long enough to weigh 6 but too skinny. Probably an old buck. They are a smallmouth/spot cross.

Water Temp for Beginning Top Water ?
In the 60's . It goes along with the spawn. Once they start heading for the bank you can pick up a few. Once they actually get on the beds it gets better and then they will start guarding fry ,then its time for the ol' floatin' worm and Fluke.

New to floro on a baitcaster, need help.
100%. Flouro is not nearly as evil as some make it out to be. Honestly if you blow up a reel with flouro it would have blown up with mono also. Just not as expensive, so for that reason I would practice with mono until you get some confidence back.

New to floro on a baitcaster, need help.
More brake. Open the side plate and see how many tabs are on . I'd start with 4 and give it some spool tension and don't over fill it. That's some good line.

How do you organize your jerkbaits?
I have one of the old Shimano boxes that goes in the boat. Those are the best ever for stickbaits but unfortunately, they stopped making them. That holds a dozen or, so the rest are in the man cave in 3700s I take visions and +1's and some Mc Sticks and a pointer or 2 and of course an old RC STX. If them wont bite one of those, heck with em.

The Falcon rods thread
I had a conversation with one of the guys at Falcon about that rod last year. He told me they have a lot of guys using that rod for squarebills. I've not tried it, but I can see it working,

I'm a fan of that rod. super versatile I drag 5/16 and 3/8 jigs, spinnerbaits ,buzzbaits light chatterbaits even a walking bait rod. I have the Cara version.

St John’s River
I agree 100%. That hillbilly act has gotten old. His mouth has kept him relevant or so his sponsors seem to think. He and Mercer on the same stage is painful to watch.

St John’s River
I had a 9 out of Rodman years ago. What a awesome place to fish.

The Falcon rods thread
I have the 4-17 in the older green blank Cara. It's great for wart's and Rk crawlers, maybe a deep little N in a pinch. I throw 1.5 Square bills on it also any more than that and it's about out of gas. Some like the Mansfield but I'm not a fan for crankbaits. It is a good small swimbait rod however.

New Flip & Pitch
Fenwick has a 6ft 8 in both MH and H in the new World Class. Defiantly worth a look.

Swimming Worm
We do the ol' floatin' worm deal around here a lot. Mainly a post spawn fry guarder thing. Don't really swim it as much as twitch it like a Fluke.

Shimano Chronarch are dead
You Tube is full of wanna be pro's and experts. There are a few who actually know what they are talking about but most are looking for a way to boost income without a real job. I was in the Golf business for over 20 years. The internet is full of folks giving advice on golf clubs that couldn't break an egg.
