Info on older G Loomis Rod
I would agree. I wish Loomis/Shimano would just quit trying to sell a lower priced rod under the Loomis banner. Shimano didn't buy out Loomis so much as he wanted to sell it. He has gotten a cancer diagnosis and thought it better to leave his family a boatload of money rather than a fishing rod company. Thank goodness he beat it. He stayed on for 5 or 6 years , if memory serves .

Info on older G Loomis Rod
Those were some nice rods. The 3 power crankbait rods are pretty soft but it would also make a nice popper rod.

First-Time Bass Boat for Fun Fishing and Tournaments
Like a lot of guys I started with an aluminum boat years ago, a Lowe stinger with 75 hp. They are cheaper and tow easier but they just don't fish or ride as well as a glass boat. When I traded my Lowe for a Ranger I was amazed at how much better the Ranger was on the trolling motor. It also didn't blow around with a little breeze like the Lowe. I personally would buy a used glass boat.

Beginner Electronics Help
I've had most of them on one boat or the other. Personally, I like Lowrance the best. I have HDS gen 2, HDS, gen 3's and HDS live w/AT2 . The HDS touch screen is very intuitive . I do think my Humminbird had the best DI and the lakemaster mapping is great.

SPRO Customer Service
As much as I hate to say it I like the RK crawler about as much as the old wiggle warts. They are much more consistent Won't be too much longer and they will start biting them around here..

Garmin Echomap 64cv or Lowrance Hook Reveal 7 Tripleshot
I've had them all on one boat or another. Personally I like Lowrance the best. Get every inch of screen you can afford.

All Star Classic Rod Made in USA
Alex, Is that one of the light green blanks ? If so, They don't have much value. The older Houston made All stars had a charcoal colored blank with maroon wraps. Fortunately, my old Zell Rowland TWS survived the tornado . When the divers recovered the boat my biggest concern was that rod and my wiggle wart box.

NRX+ 853C JWR or 843C MBR for a versatile bass rod
The MBR is a more moderate taper than the JWR and in general a more all purpose rod. You can really do about anything from moving baits to jigs and plastics. It depends on how heavy the baits that you want to fish, for 1/2 oz. jigs and T rigs with 1/4 oz and up I personally would move up a power to the 844.

Confidence baits vs being stubborn
I think if your fishing a place that gets any kind of pressure on it at all you've got to add some sort of finesse technique like ol' ned or a small minnow bait ect.

Line color. Just a thought.
On spinning rods I would agree you see a lot of braid to leader. I don't see it much on bait casting unless it's on a top water rod or down in Florida.

Fenwick Revamp
I had the world class, elite and HMG in the '24 models. The only one that survived the tornado is the elite jerkbait/top water rod. I personally really like them. I don't think they have sold as well as pure fishing had hoped but they have taken a big step forward.

Rod/reel combo for Strolling
I don't. I would like to try the Hover myself.

Rod/reel combo for Strolling
I've learned there's really 2 schools of thought on this deal. The longer rod gets the bait further away from the boat, In my case an ALX 7ft6 Mcsmalls but the shorter rod ,Poision adrena 6ft10 UL. shakes easier. The jury is still out for me but I feel like being able to reach out further without pinging them into next week especially with fish that get a lot of pressure could be an advantage.

Fenwick world class
I really can't find fault with it. I liked the build and it's plenty sensitive .Mine got broken when my boat got destroyed during our 4th of July tornado. But I would definitely buy another.

Flouro
I've been fishing flouo's of various brands for the last 12 years or so. I personally have never experienced the evil's that some speak of. I do however remember the 1 fish that I broke off with it.

Rod/reel submerged
If you have or have access to one of those old metal stringers, Open all the clips and put it on a flippin, stick and drag it around the suspected area. My buddy carries one in his boat for just such an occasion.

boat is totaled
Thanks for all the kind words. I have to admit I got a little misty when the divers got it loose from the wreckage and it was bobbing around upside down. I really liked that boat. But, this too shall pass.

boat is totaled
Thanks I appreciate you keeping a eye out. yes, 19 or 20. I'm open on the console but my wife is partial to the dual, it gives her something to hold onto with one hand and punch me in the arm with the other. Ulrich has a used Skeeter on the way , I've never owned one but I will have a look when it's ready. I sent all 3 titles to the salvage company yesterday. They will pick it up from Matt at Dyna prop this week.

boat is totaled
Lol, probably not but after 50 years on Table rock I don't have the courage to get out among them in a canoe.
