They always look bigger in the water.

Anything with enough tip to throw it will work. I like the Z Bone LMH and a Tatula SV Also makes a good floatin' worm set up.

The replacement cost of a Xtasy is $ 165 if memory serves. Of course, they can replace fury for 50 bucks, I'd be surprised if they cost any more than that to produce.

Back then the More popular rods were, Allstar, Fenwick and Lews . That was about the time graphite was the new thing and guys broke them like pick up sticks. Fuji made the Lews rods. Lews and Abu were the most popular reels . Shimano and Ryobi made the Lew's reels ,,and there may have been a third company

USPS could break a anvil. They will eventually pay you but it's not worth the gamble of using them. I had a rod tube on my front porch that looked like those canned biscuits you break open.

I think Powell is the better rod. The new Naked series is worth a look. I've been using the 702 spinning rod for a few months now and have been impressed. Personally in nearly 40 years of tournament and fun fishing I've broken exactly 2 rods. One in the rod locker door and 1 in the trolling motor bracket. I'd rather buy a rod based on performance not what might happen some day.

I have many times. Personally, If I were paying for a rod and not using a warranty I would choose the Z Bone over either. And save money in the process.

I'd go with the NRX. I've never felt like the Conquest was worth the additional cost. There will always be a market for a rod in that price range because many equate cost with sensitivity and it's certainly true is some cases. Between those two I don't see the return for your money.

Tough choice but I have a Z Bone 7 ft 3 LMH that is just a great finesse jig and even moving bait rod.

I'm a big fan of the Kistler feel N reel series. The 7'3" is a great all-purpose model. I throw everything frow wiggle warts to 6xd's on it as well as Chatterbaits and big topwaters like the Plopper and Mega- dawg

The Amistad is one of my favorite Falcons but mine are all 7 power Cara's. I seldom throw a frog around here but I would think it's a bit soft. I throw 3/8-1/2 oz. jigs and spinnerbaits and smaller swimbaits on mine. It also comes in a 8 power X heavy , Might be a better choice.

Good Luck. The pressure on Table Rock this weekend was unbelievable. This coming weekend will be as bad or worse. Creeks full of boats and a couple on every point . You hate to pull in on anyone so I went back to the marina and put it on the lift. I'm a half mile from Table Rock but If I were fishing this coming weekend I'd go to Bull Shoals.

The Head Turner was designed to be Short flipping rod but it's really versatile. I use it for spinnerbaits/chatterbaits ever bigger squarebills. If that's the length your looking for it's a great choice. If you're considering a longer rod for more open water stuff the Falcon Amistad is the way to go. It's a great jig and smaller swimbait rod also. The 6ft 7 weightless worm rod is too soft for a spinnerbait rod IMHO. Here in the Ozarks it's legendary as a jerkbait rod and of course the ol' floatin' worm. I haven't fished a ABU product in 30 years so can't comment there.

I throw buzzbaits and the WP on a old Daiwa lite and tough Flippin stick. It's got enough tip to cast the things a long way. If your throwing the 110's and 130's any longer heavy power should work. The Falcon Amistad also works well . I also like the Powell 755CB. A lot of guys use it as a Chatterbait rod but I like it for bigger topwater like the WP, super spooks and Mega Dawg ect. For $150 it's a great rod.

For me a walking bait/ popper rod and a Plopper/Buzzbait rod are 2 different animals. I wouldn't throw a plopper on a rod that short . Something 7ft 2 + for me. Personally, the last rod I would spend big money on is one I can see them eat the bait on. But To each his own.

By the way, What MLF derby is on the 9th ? The back to back BFL's are this weekend the 2nd and 3rd. Might want double check your schedule.

When tournaments come around, especially those bringing folks in from out of town it's going to be kinda tough to get much info, On the internet in particular and on a specific spot pretty much impossible. I will say that right now Table Rock is fishing really well. There's 2 BFL's and the big bass deal over the next few weeks so it's going to get absolutely hammered. There will be some fish on the beds I'm sure the first week in April.

100%. I just picked up some of the Z man OG's in 1/16 so far so good. I'm going back to the way the thing was meant to be fished.

Just my opinion but I wouldn't worry about it. That's a great set up, Just go fishin'. Heck, there's guys making a living fishing with rods I personally wouldn't use for a tomato stake. It's the Indian not the arrow and a NRX/Met. is more than capable of catching any bass anywhere.

I Don't believe the 894 is tip heavy. Mine balances just in front of the reel nut with a E7. The whole tip heavy deal is largely overblown. I will say I thought the 895 was kinda tippy but the 93 and 94 are fine.

The Falcon weightless worm rod is about as good of a stickbait rod as you will find. It's about $130 in the Lowrider series. As a bonus if you want to put the stickbait down it makes a great floating worm and popper rod also.

It's a MH but the Falcon weightless worm rod is a great topwater rod as well as being one of the best jerkbait rods going . .

I have trailer on Table Rock and love it. We had a condo for 5 years or so but sold it to be closer to the marina where I keep my boat. Lots of bass boats around us and even in the summer busy season the lake pretty much belongs to the fisherman until 10 am or so. We will probably build a house down here whenever I retire and move here permanently but for now this is great. The guy we rent the pad from keeps the grass cut and I only pay for electric the water and sewer is on him. I'm not going to say it's cheap but to us it's worth it and I can be on Bull Shoals in 20 minutes if we want a change of scenery. I personally wouldn't try to maintain 2 homes.
