  1. Nope. It's brand new. 1) I don't have a spare rod to throw it on right now 2)I haven't gotten a lot of time on the water to even fish this year period. I have Shimano, Quantums, and one round Abu C4 (musky reel). I am partial to my Shimano reels, as I own the most of those but I am not opposed to using the reel. I just cant make up my mind if I want to sell it for the cash or just hang on and use it.
  2. I have a brand new Revo S in the box. Debating whether to hang on to it and set it up as a jerk bait set up, or sell it to put towards something else.
  3. The early SK Pure Poisons had a regluar snap clip like most chatterbaits do and they were very poor. I broke and mangled a number of them so I stopped buying them. The last time I did get a few, they switched to an oval split ring and that worked out really well. I haven't bought one in 2+ years so I can't tell you how they are now. The SK skirts rotted quickly too. Probably my least favorite SK brand lure. Zmans are good too. I have no experience with BooYah brand, only their spinner baits.
  4. Wow! Perch burgers anyone? Look how round that guy is.
  5. Those are some beauties! I love how vibrant the fins are. Congrats on the nice fish!
  6. What if you anchored your boat using the wind to your back, or a drift sock? Or is the problem just moving around in general with your small craft boats?
  7. Happy Birthday Speedbead. I think this is for you anyhow...

    Bearssssss! Solid win.
  9. Lure wraps, hook keepers, and rods sleeves/socks will make transporting your rods much easier and tangle free. For lure storage, get a sharpie marker and label all your boxes specific to what is in there. Don't be lazy when on the water, and if you are then put everything back at the end of the day. Otherwise you'll end up with a mess of tackle if you just throw lures into the first convenient box you grab. I like my stuff all organized nice and neat so I can find what I'm looking for quickly allowing more time to fish.
  10. I agree with the rest. Put the biggest your boat and pocket will allow you too.

I was going to suggest getting off the pain meds. I had double hernia surgery two years ago and I could only stand taking pain meds for a day. The 3rd night I felt like I was a crack head. Could not sleep, could not sit still and other problems. I stopped taking them and just did some Ibuprophen to take the edge off and that helped.
  12. I have the Spinner bait model. I also use it for Topwater Frogs and it's worked out really well. I also on occasion will throw swim jigs with it. To the OP: The rod is worth it to me......maybe not to others. If that is your price point, I don't think you will be disappointed. It has a 5 year warranty. Rod/Reel/Line discussion can go 100 different ways here, so the best judgment is to either try one out in person or trust your gut. I have 3 Mojo rods, love them all. I also have Triumph, Premier, Avid, Rage.....they are all awesome rods for the money.
  13. Look at this beast! Fish of a lifetime. http://www.freep.com/article/20121019/SPORTS10/121019042/portage-man-catches-state-record-muskie?odyssey=nav%7Chead
  14. Its toast. Pitch it and buy something meant for saltwater.
  15. Are you wetting your knots really well when cinching down? Also if you back lash bad with FC.....you need to inspect your line. A bad kink or over run into itself will snap you off. Use KVD Line Conditioner often if you're not already.
  16. Funny. You can download it free off their website.
  17. Any idea what caused that? RES is just about the only lipless I throw and have never seen that happen. Were you smashing up on logs or rocks? Awesome on the customer service, I'm jealous!
  18. Got a pic? I would like to see it. Speed, what happened to this deal? Yay or nay?
  19. Markings seem to match. thanks J Franco
  20. Duh...metrics. Stupid American I am. I think that calculates to a 27-28" fish?
  21. Beast of a fish. Whats up with the tape measure? Anyone know of this catch and where it came from?
  22. Da Beaaaaaaaaaaaaaars.
  23. J Franco is spot on. I can't find the video but I believe it was from *** site, they interviewed about 15 guys in the BASS circuit and the general consensus was $75-$100K a season if you're not getting a full ride. That's tournament fees, gas, food, housing, etc etc... 100 seems a bit steep if you ask me, but then again how would I know.
  24. I think Keith Combs does both, or did... but as mentioned, I think the scheduling would be to chaotic. Especially when they're at the lake days ahead of time to prep and practice.
