Smart pick going with Hartman. I've been hesitant picking him because of his back issues.

Berkley cranks??
Just put in an order for more Dredgers. Its a lure I use a lot and dont want to pay a premium for them once they are no longer available. The 14.5, 17.5, 20.5, 25.5 I use on off-shore structure. The 8.5 and 10.5 I use going down the banks

We Are All Stars ~
That just brought back a memory. Mom use to give us kids a stick on star for brushing our teeth. Thats all we got , a star on a piece of paper next to our names.

"Bomber Model A Crankbaits" 5A & 6A
Google brought me here once again. A long time ago in the fall, four of us went fishing in two boats. Me and the guy I was fishing with had zero bass after several hours. We met up with the other two and they said they were catching fish on a Bomber Model A. They tried other cranks but only the Model A was getting bit. I went to a bridge and started throwing cranks, Rapalas, Rebels, Normans, Bagleys... determined to catch something. Finally, after switching to a Model A, I began to catch bass. To this day , the Model A is usually the first crank I try in the fall.

Fantasy Fishing 2026
That was short lived. I went from 99% to 83%. All five picks dropped in the standings.

Prop baits seem to work best post spawn.

buying gear on sale in the off season...
I would like to see tungsten weights go on clearance. I'll go back to lead before spending more than two dollars for a quarter oz weight.

New Video! Warm Trend = Giant Bass
Yep, yep and yep. I use wider cranks.Warts and Mudbugs. Reel them in extremely slow.

Arbogast Mudbug
I dont know how deep they dive, @river-rat is probably right with the large size. I use the smaller size on steep rock banks in the spring ,parallel casting close to the shore, retrieving the lure from inches to about six foot . I dont use them anywhere else. Caught some large bass that way.

buying gear on sale in the off season...
I bought one lure this winter because of a couple of recommendations here. I have accumulated lots of lures over the years that have never been used, so they are new to me. I plan on using a bunch this year. Bait Monkey can kiss my rear.

Bagley's Bass N Shad
I picked up three new Bass N Shads at a thrift store. There is almost nothing about them on the internet. Good looking lures I plan on trying this season. They are Bagleys version of the Shad Rap. Any of you ever tried them and how did they work for you?

Rebel Crawfish Cranks
Going throgh my spare tackle I found a Rebel Big Craw that was discovered at a thrift store a few years back. I put new hooks on it and made room in my deep diving tackle box for it. I have never used one. I'm thinking an early spring bait in the same places I throw Warts and Mudbugs.

Which lures would you pick?
I keep searching Google and the search ends up here on Bass Resource. LOL So seven year old thread gets resurrected. I used the 8.5 some this fall and caught a few fish on riprap. This little lure gets dowm there , I think it goes deeper than 8 foot. Berkely is closing them out 5.99 on their website. I have four , only three 10.5s which I also think goes deeper than 10 foot. Thats astounding for a little bait. They dont float out of snags real well, thats the only downside I've seen with them.
