  1. Sounds like "Bro Country" It's scary how real AI is. I cant even believe videos anymore.
  2. Just a little speculation here but I feel cast for cast tubes get bit for me more than anything. All three major speices of bass chew them up like they are starving.

Last thing I need at this point is a tick born disease. I have a cousin who is now allergic to red meat from a tick.
  4. 3329 + 60= 3395 I do remember the first fish I caught. Dad told me it was a sunfish. It was brightly colored and I thiought it was made from a piece of the sun. I used the age 8 as a starting point though I was fishing earlier than that.
  5. Guilty
  6. 50 to 100 miles roundtrip.
  7. I"ve been several times and stay in cabins with covered boat slips. Plan on going this spring or fall. I love it. I'll go fishing several times a day. I PM'ed you.
  8. Depends where I start. If I'm on riprap I'll usually go finnese to get the day started with some bites. If I'm fishing cover the heavier stuff gets used.
  9. I occasinally will listen to the Cardinals. Most of the time silence.
  10. I purchased a 20 dollar Megabass Super Z 1 crankbait this winter because of all the reports on how well it cast. Havent been fishing yet to try it. Thats the only plus ten dollar lure I bought.
  11. I'll stub my toe. Historically , I've been bad at this. Last tourney was my blind squirrel event.
  12. I fish from big boat, jon boat, plastic one man boat and canoe. I stay put when needed , move when needed.
  13. I know what parasite clips are, I use then a lot. I thought this might be something similar for a fat tube.
  14. Trying to come up with a use for them . A parasite clip like thing for tubes?
  15. Its weird bass behavior but happeens a lot. Good thing you were fishing instead of running to another spot.
  16. Had to have my right bicep reattached a few years back. Fortunately half my waiting time was over the winter. I tried rolling a 15 lb bowling ball a little too vigorously. When I was allowed to lift up to five lbs , I went back to fishing because I dont catch bass that big anyway..
  17. Put the trolling motor on go, match rod , reel, line and lure size for maximum efficiency then cast at everything. The more accurate and quiet the cast , the more bites.
  18. I have several lures. One that comes to mind is a Storm Big Mac with the short lip. I bought it thirty to forty years ago. Still in the box. I thought it might be a good bait for large bass in standing timber. edited . Its called a Shallo Mac.
  19. I still rely heavily on proven baits. Thats one good thing about being an older bass angler. We have baits that have always worked well and always will. Especially crankbaits.
  20. You're not hardcore until you get stuck on the ramp once or twice.🙂
  21. Do you reuse for them, like melting and pouring in molds? I have a couple gallons of used soft plastics. I planned on repouring them but havent went through with it. I have so much new stuff that its not worth the time or trouble.
  22. I've witnessed that once.
  23. I threw a cast net tripped, spun around a couple of times like a shot putter and fell off the front deck without the loop attached to my wrist.Luckily I was able to grab the net before it sank to the bottom of the lake .
  24. Good timing. I only fished for spots about a dozen times. Tubes have been my best bait. I'm planning on a Table Rock trip this spring or fall. I'll keep this bookmarked.
