  1. I had four fishing today , so I wont fall behind too far. Nobody in the top twenty.
  2. I dont have a dedicated crankbait rod, or spinnerbait rod or buzzbait rod... but I do have a wormin rod and its always within reach.
  3. Only places I catch them are on the Ozark lakes. I thought deep clear lakes was where they thrived.
  4. Doesnt seem like the type of water for spotted bass.
  5. I fish lowland lakes most the time. I can usually catch numbers by just covering water. Dont overlook off-shore. Long extended points are great. I fish this one lake that is thirty foot deep at its deepest. Theres a point that extends 100 yards out then drops from 10 to 25 foot. Places like that are always worth a lengthy visit.
  6. I made it through my ordeal , lost a lot of weight and strength but able to resume fishing. I'm going to make it a point to take someone who can no longer go. Fishing is such a big part of our lives and just to get out is so theraputic. I'm thinking about you and maybe my thoughts can Quantum entangle with yours. I've been watching too many science Youtube videos that are way over my head.
  7. I didnt word that very well. Drain plug, He lost his drain plug.
  8. Bill Lowen lost his boat plug , hes trying to improvise. He removed the float from his key chain and stuffed it in the hole.
  9. Guido Hibdon won a lot of cash using them on light line and a jighead. Denny Brauer Texas rigged them and won a classic. I use them both ways. I will rig it Stupid at times but with the line exiting the tube on top instead of the nose like on a Texas rig , it doesnt go through brush and laydowns as cleanly. It does all right in older wood without the small branches.
  10. Thats an All Star lineup too.
  11. Hackney sinks my squad again.
  12. Just here. I use to on facebook but had too many people wanting to go fishing with me that I had to stop.
  13. Theres a lot of small community lakes in my area. They are much easier to fish than large reservoirs. Just put the trolling motor down and concentrate on making good cast . A lot of the other boats fishing them are either crappie anglers or not so skilled bass fishermen.
  14. I Texas rig everything and its hard to narrow down a favorite. Yum Dingers get bit pretty good. Been using the Cut-R worm a lot the last couple of years. Historically Jelly Worms have caught more bass than everything else. Then there are tubes. Kind of difficult to Texas rig but they get chomped.
  15. A Texas rigged something.
  16. I have caught a lot of fish in heavy current by taking 1/4 oz twister tail grubs, remove the tail then add a cheap spinner and swivel to the hook, creating my own tail spinner. I'm going to lose baits so this was an inexpensive way to throw a spinner in tail races. It works really well. I use to fish Little Georges on points back when point fishing was productive. I havent thrown one in a long time.
  17. I use to have some long ring worms.Dont know who made them . I used them up in man made brush piles. Still have some 12 inch Manns Jelly Worms and I think some Power worms. They are not something I use a lot.
  18. I just noticed silent Red Eye Shads are discontinued. How long has that been? I dont keep up on tackle well. Now I'm afraid to bounce them off the bottom.
  19. Most of the time I'm hopping them off the bottom and use a Red Eye Shad.Caught a few big bass on points with them. I use the rattling, two tap and silent versions in all three sizes.
  20. Never let an oppurtunity to show fish pics go to waste. Big Boat ball cap because a full brim is a pain in the butt on plane. little boat, full brim hat.
  21. I fish stained to muddy water almost all the time. I will usually start out the year throwing spinnerbaits that are chartreuse, white or a combination with gold ,magnum willow blades . Everybody will be throwing the same thing for a few months and the bass get conditioned to them. Then around the spawn I change to more realistic, less beligerant baitfish patterns with smaller willow /colorado tandems in gold/chrome . Sometimes I'll use gold/copper around bluegill beds with a bluegill patterned skirt. June bug soft plastics always seem to work.
  22. I dont own a trucker hat. We are talking about the ones with foam fronts ? I dont like the looks of them either. I wear ball caps or a full brim hat.
  23. My favorites
  24. I like to take a chartreuse Spike-It marker and whatever soft plastic I'm using , run that marker all the way down the back of the bait. It creates a two tone effect that I believe, looks more appetizing. Nothing a bass eats is one solid color.
  25. There was still a little snow on the ground yesterday. Just checked and its mid 40's . Its warming fast.
