Any lure that sinks . Let it go to the bottom , pop it up and retrieve slowly . Beetle spins would work well . I have a couple of prized vintage Bayou Boogies that dont rattle . Those things are killer like that .

I do a lot of bass fishing the wrong way .

I dont use fluoro carbon but with mono I just check my line often with my fingers . If it feels ok , keep on plugging . Its usually not the fish that damages my line but where the fish came from . Sometimes I re-tie after just one dink is caught .

I get a color thats working , I'll wear the bass out with it . All I know is it is working . Right now a spinnerbait with a batfish patterned skirt and some blue strands mixed in is killing it . Dont know if the blue makes any difference or not . I'm also using Blueberry worms . I see know need to change at this time .

Another thing about the Guido bug . It had a smooth finish . If a person was unsure if they had a bite or not , all one had to do was examine the lure for teeth marks .They were easy to spot shiny smooth baits ,

No . We could make up a critter and bass would eat it . Creature baits for example . Some guy just made that thing up .

I did much better today , caught over 50 per cent on Ribbetts and Rage toads . Ran out of baits early . 15 toads in about 3 hours .I didnt do anything different , the bass were just taking them better . I'll have to buy 5 packs next time . The local farm store has a discount bin full of Zoom toads but they dont look like they would make much commotion .

I fish it just like worm . I fish lots of stuff just like a worm .Lift and drop .

Some people think they are just for kids and catch nothing but dinks . They flat out get bit . Fish them where big fish are and big fish will bite .
