  2. Three in the cut . Thats par for me .?
  3. You can definitely catch fish during the rain . If its a light drizzle I will give a buzzbait a good go at it .
  4. The deepest I have caught them was 40 foot in autumn .
  5. I do this too or use the parasite clips . It works well .
  6. They said yesterday they were bumping boats . Lambert was willing to share Haynes not . They said he was already off the lake and driving home . Tough luck for you, huh ?
  7. Him and Lambert were fishing the same spot , he got mad and went home .
  8. I hope none of you had Randy Haynes . He just quit and was in first place .
  9. I havent fished them a lot but the few times I did they worked well . One time I forgot my soft plastic bag so a search through my gear i found a new bag of black Gizits . I Texas rigged them and caught plenty of largemouths .
  10. Huge lures . I have tried Striper sized cranks , musky jitterbugs , large spoons not 1 fish on them .
  11. You could try Parasite Worm Clips . I'll vouch for them. Google it .
  12. Just checked Basstrack . Cliff Pace has one bass for 10.5 lbs .
  13. Oh , I thought you meant he took { launched his boat} off from a different area than the rest of the field . My comprehension skills failed me .
  14. Huh ? How is that not against the rules ?
  15. My old Ambassaduers bait-casters, I use to keep them as loose as possible with the small breaks . I cant do that with modern reels .
  16. I just cast them out and reel them in . They are very snag resistant and able to jump logs . They are my favorite lure to throw . Dont limit them to early , late , cloudy... They work in the heat of the summer too .
  17. Its crazy the patterns that happen in flooded water . I have got on a boat ramp and guard rail pattern a couple of times .
  18. When I was a boater fishing with a non boater , they were allowed to cast where-ever they wanted . They were fun tourneys , nothing serious , there were no imaginary lines... .We usually took turns getting first cast at good targets . Twice handicapped guys won the tournament from the back of my boat . Both times it was their first tourney. One guy lost his hand at work and had pliers for a hand . We were coming upon a stump where I caught a couple of big bass before and allowed him the first cast . He nailed the cast using a Bagley crankbait . As his lure approached the stump he said I'm snagged . I could see he had a big bass and told him to take it easy . He fought it like a pro and landed a 6 lber . With the addition of a couple of dinks he took home the trophy . The other guy , who could not move his neck , brought one spincast rod n reel that would not cast over five yards . Right off the bat I caught a keeper pitching a jig n pig then gave him one . He sat there in the back of the boat jigged it up and down and caught three keepers for the win .
  19. I like the tourneys where I stunk but come to find out the winning team was doing the same thing I was .?
  20. I dont think it makes a difference most of the time . For smallmouths I like crawfish , hula grubs , creatures baits , things that resemble crawfish .For largemouths , whatever floats my boat .
  21. Thats like fishing with my uncle . i just let him do his thing and hes happy , even though he doesnt have much success .
  22. Usually there is more than one way to fish the area I'm targeting .For example a 200 yard long cove with the major cover lay-downs . If I fish it all and dont get bit on a Texas rig , jig , spinnerbait or top-water then its time rethink my strategy.
  23. If your wanting to use a nice casting , light weight balsa crankbait with a tight action look at the Rapala Fat Rap .
  24. It depends on the lake . I like to eat bass but selectively harvest them .
