  1. I have a second one, I'll be sure to give this a try when it makes a move.
  2. I think I passed it. I had a dicharge yesterday where a pretty large mass splashed down in the stool. Too big for a stone but I'm thinking maybe a stone encased in tissue and blood. Had no problems since. I'll add gout to that list.
  3. Bazoo has a thread by the same name. I didnt want to hijack his thread but its a subject everybody can relate too. Whats your story.? What did you drag your feet on? Why did I wait so long.... ...to fish a bladed jig. I thought a spinnerbait would do the same thing and be more snagproof.Three years ago I gave one a try and I cant believe how my stubborness has cost me so many fish. Its one of the best lures I ever used.
  4. I use to throw a lot of Kalins Grubs in "Witches Brew" How did they come up with that name? It got bit a lot.
  5. I think the little cocklebur finally passed. Had an uneventful night. Blood in my urine but thats all . I hope it went on through and not hanging about in my bladder.
  6. I've been using Beavers and Z_Man Goats rigged horizontally to slide up over wood.
  7. Those were some big storms that went through. We were spared as they mostly went north. I watched the lightning show from a distance and it was spectacular.
  8. Do you have any pointers to avoid snags?
  9. The Outdoor Research Sombriolet is 50 per cent off at $22.50 from the manufacturer and only $2.10 shipping.
  10. I only had one guy weigh in a limit.
  11. I had precancerous tissue removed from both ears. I've been wearing a full brim hat . Outdoor Research Sunbriolet. Its light weight and keeps the sun off. It could use a little more ventilation. I'm happy and like the way it looks.
  12. Usually I have the trolling motor going and move on down the shore. If I come upon something that needs extra attention, I'll fish it for awhile, usually just a few minutes. If its off shore and my gut tells me to fish longer, maybe 15 minutes. I cover water.
  13. 60 times. I feel for you.Whats the average time to pass one? I have flomax but my prostate was removed long ago, so dont know if that will help or not.
  14. Fishing has been put on hold once again. Went to the emergency room Sunday because a stone started moving. I've passed one once before but it concluded in less than 24 hours. This one is being stubborn and I get attacks everyday. No way I'm going fishing . Its a 2mm stone and may take up to six weeks to pass all the way through. Theres a second one still in the kidney biding its time. Nothing can be done. I have some pills but they dont give a lot of relief. Fishing has been good too.
  15. I dont like the Dredgers in cover. They are not highy buoyant. I have some that suspend and even one that slowly sinks. Bomber Model A's do pretty good for me.
  16. I/3 of the time I"m to slow with the hookset, 1/3 of the time I'm to quick and the other third I'm right on.
  17. Heres the bass I caught on the Fat Free Fingerling thats hanging out of her mouth.
  18. I only have a Fat Free Fingerling and dont use it much. Dont throw cranks much anymore period because the lakes I fish have so much scum in them. I did catch one of my largest bass ever on it. I like the bait. It runs straight with a tight action.
  19. If you are fishing rocks why not use a crank with a longer lip instead of a square bill?
  20. I'm not a real experenced bladed jig user. I've tried several rods and have settled on a 7' mh fast action Falcon EVO. I skip the lures under overhangs a lot and its been my best rod for skipping. I'm using 17 lb test Suffix florocarbon. Tried 12 lb test mono and snapped my line twice this year on hooksets . I was just sweeping the rod and must have had nicks in the line. Any way I switched to heavier line. I dont know if I like the florocarbon better than say 15 lb Big Game or not. Its a work in progress.
  21. I've been catching a lot of bass by killing the bait as it exits the snot grass line and letting it fall to the bottom. Its a guess on my part as to when to let it fall and often end up with a slime covered lure .
  22. Buzzbaits are my favorite technique . I have a red craw Rapala Crankin rap that has done good. A black Midnight Special spinnerbait has caught a lot too.
  23. Thats a unique buzzbait. No doubt a night time bass magnet.
  24. So I've been doing a lot of skipping chatterbaits under overhanging trees and I get a lot of overuns. I'm not very good at skipping. I dont pick the overuns out when I skip the bait , I'll do that after the cast. So twice yesterday , I tried casting the loops out only to make it worse. After I picked the loops out there was a bass on my line.Thats the second time its happenned this year.
  25. I'm on a big fish slump, having lost several this year. They jump , my line breaks at the reel , or they just come unbuttoned. Batting .000 this year and I[m getting sick of it. Happened four time the past two weeks.
