  1. Oh , your clear on the other side of the state .
  2. I want to get more serious in jerk bait fishing this season . About 35 years ago I bought a long lipped Rogue at an Ozark tackle store and never have used it . After a short search I located it . Added a suspend dot , had to trim it some and its ready to go .Have any of you ever used one ? How deep will it go ? I also have a rebel spoonbill minnow somewhere , that I plan on getting ready .
  3. Heck yeah . He wasnt just happy to be there , he wanted to win .
  4. I go at night two or three times a year up here in northern Mo. Are you close to Hunnewell . Thats where i usually head. I use the same lures as in the day but usually a darker version and have never had much luck deep .
  5. I try to keep things simple but at the same time be versatile enough to fish any depth , cover or structure . Theres a lot of lure categories and techniques that I havent tried.
  6. I'm going tp guess 5 to 6 lbs . Thats a healthy looking bass .
  7. Faircloth Hackney Crews Rook Grigsby
  8. What else would they be ? Not trying to be a jerk , just trying to understand .
  9. Just go buy some inexpensive jigs . Its unlikely i have ever paid over two dollars for a jig .
  10. My memory is a little foggy but it seems to me Renosky made one with indentations . Maybe that is the Wal Mart brand Blue mentioned .
  11. They are not the same type of lure .
  12. I never heard of a sinking Wee R .
  13. .I use the diamond file on a Leatherman .It works extremely good but dont know the grit .
  14. Bass anglers like to fish from a raised platform . Pitching and the underhand lob cast are much more difficult when not at an elevated position . I have claimed to be a poor caster but I get a lot better when I'm on a raised platform and not casting while standing on the floor of a jon boat .
  15. The first map looks like a really good area . It looks to me like the red lines you drew are the deep areas next to points . Move those lines over a little on top of the points I think would be better . Right between the top two red lines is a point , saddle and hump. Thats a good looking area . I would be a all over that spot .
  16. I would like to see them change it up yearly . A middle of the summer classic up north would be interesting .
  17. He zigged when he should have zagged .
  18. Try different retrieves . Bass can be fickle . Bluegill or any pattern with some chartreuse in it is often my first choice .
  19. Buzzbait . I prefer to throw a buzzbait .
  20. Heres a thought .When the sport first took off the pros were multi species anglers . They spent years just catching fish and bass just happened to be their ticket to making some cash . Do people like Jordan know that much about fishing in general or are they just good at tourney fishing .
  21. I stopped at a pond one night and threw a buzzbait by a tree and heard a tremendous explosion but no hookup . second cast same thing but this time I got him . I thought it was a ten lb bass but just a big channel cat .
