  1. Texas rigged senkos, Dingers... are big time bass catchers. I use pitch them in cover and out on structure. They flat out get bit.
  2. I may have caught the Missouri state record white sucker and released it. If not it was close. I didnt know it until I looked it up.
  3. Evidently crappie are not scared of noise because most of the crappie anglers around here make no attempt whatsoever in trying to be quiet.
  4. I have a light that clips onto my hat with red or white lights. I use the red light mostly . only use the white light when needed. Flats, points and riprap are good places where casting accuracy is not important. Beaver houses , culverts and other great cover cant be passed up.
  5. I dont use Senkos because of the price, use Yum Dingers instead. I depleted most of my supply the past two weeks so visited my local farm store to replenish . The shelves were bare of Dingers. Evidently Dingers are getting popular here.
  6. Champlain lineup is C, Huff Palainuk Schmitt Smith Cifuentes
  7. Im a NEMO resident. What part were you in ?
  8. Eagle Claw 45 Automatic or I like to call it line twisting %&*#%*%!
  9. Best is strike detection with bottom contact lures. Worse is Frog fishing.
  10. I counted 28 caught today with the majority 10 to 15 foot deep on worms and 3/4 oz Red Eye Shad. This 4lb 6oz was the largest. Caught on a June Bug Yum Dinger.
  11. Fat Lady singing.
  12. I have one. It consist mostly of Beetle Spins and grubs.
  13. Jigging spoons like the Cotton Cordell, Manns Little George and the Cordell Gay Blade have all worked well for me. But for big bass a Strike King Red Eye Shad gets hammered at times. I've done a lot of vertical jigging the RES in an aluminum boat. I can hear the bait falling on the drop and can hear the bass hitting the bait. Sometimes I hear them hit and not feel a thing.
  14. Three top tens in a row. Hes turned in to one of those guys whos a good pick anywhere.
  15. I was hoping someone with more knowledge than me would weigh in. I'm guessing the bottom band is the true thermocline and the upper band is algae and/or other stuff.

Buzzbaits work good in a light rain.
  17. No net rule is dangerous for the anglers. Auten with a hook in his hand..
  18. I think a swim bait went flying overboard and steve didnt see it. Hes going to be wondering where that other bait went.
  19. Thats a good idea. Buzzing a lightly weighted or weightess grub works. Something like a 4 or 5 inch grub.
  20. Did you catch any in the waterfall?
  21. Sometimes you gotta do the best you can . Yesterday I was throwing spinnerbaits around " for no better words" gorilla snot . It was a pain but I caught fish. Accurate casting is the ticket and poor cast result in big glob of stuff that will need to be picked off. I did a lot of lure cleaning but caught several nice fish.
  22. I caught about 24 bass today and probably 20 of them over 15 inches. High blue skies, the day after a cold front passed through. Plastic worm and spinnerbaits were the most effective. My largest 4lb 7ozs caught on a bluegill patterned spinnerbait.
  23. Weightless with a foam ear plug. Are you using it as a top water?
  24. I've never tried the 2.75 inch tubes. I like the original Gitzits in streams and lakes for smallies . Been using them a lot lately for largemouths too.
  25. While fishing a few decades ago I found the rear end of a dog floating. Its neck was tied to a heavy object and tossed over board. I'm a dog person and cant fathom how anyone could do this.
