JACKPOT!! GAME ON!! * update SK vs. Keitech
yeah that would have been me.... that's interesting that you say the flake makes it more durable. i'm not disputing that by any means, but it's been my personal perception all along. i do wonder if that's because most of my soft plastics have been removed from their original packaging and stored in a plano container?

A Chunker Falls!
very nice catch man, nice jig pig!
-
State managed lakes vs County/ City lakes
they all vary widely in my experience... i usually fish more of the locally managed lakes, but that's because they are typically the smaller reservoirs i prefer to fish from the kayak and they typically have the electric only or HP restrictions on them.

Isn't TW Memorial Day sale supposed to be going on now?
called MAP in retail (minimum advertised price). retailers cannot legally show the public a price lower than that which the manufacturer sets. they can however do some crafty in house discounts behind the scenes to lower that price.

New to me champion
nice boat man! those AZ hogs are going to have nightmares about your return to the states now!
-
Auto life vest
i've worn my onyx A/M 24 in the rain plenty and never had it go off on me yet.... BUT i did drop it in the floor of the kayak when i went to take a sweatshirt off and it went off from the water sitting in the cockpit area!

Snapping Turtles
i had one chase down my spinnerbait at a local pond, came in like a log, no fight. luckily for me and him both, he came off right at the bank when i gave him a little slack in the line!

Added another species to the list...
i saw they shocked a couple big ones up on a recent study there not too long ago! i'd have been tempted to bring that one back to the dinner table! nice catch man!

SILENCE
i've suffered from severe migraines for well over 25 years. i was always opposed to relying on a medication, but it got to the point of not being able to take it. at the recommendation of my neurologist, i have been on a daily medication for about 2 years now that actually works fairly well for keeping them at bay! i went from having a migraine every week, sometimes twice a week to now maybe 1 a month or 1 every other month. it's been amazing these last 2 years, but when they do come back around it still sucks. sorry to hear of your issue there, i can't imagine not being able to hear well. hope you can find something to help you out!

Early Morning Toad!
yeah, came out no problem, but he did choke that thing down, mutilated my brand new frog!

Best Jigs for Skipping
arky head jig 1/2 oz.... but to set your expectations straight, Zona skips that jig like a machine! he's incredible at it and that only comes with a TON of practice. that said, i've found the arky head to be the easiest style to skip for me.

Made a pretty cool dash for the kayak...
very nice dude, that's slick!

Beads for C-Rigs
glass beads have a really distinct click to them, i use the top brass weight and bead.

first time fishing what lure to throw
completely agree with this.... will be more entertaining than the senko, but the senko will catch fish. not to mention with a crankbait, there's not much of a hookset required.... with sharp hooks, you can just keep on reeling and land a fish.

while on leave 5lb smallie
what a tank dude!! stay safe overseas dude, hurry home to do some more fishing!

JACKPOT!! GAME ON!! * update SK vs. Keitech
i do wonder if the "stiffer" SK may be due to the less flake than the keitech pictured. the more flakes the softer the plastic in my experience. either way, like blue said, 1 more bait and 20 cents less, easy choice....

Whopper Plopper
i don't have one, but i've seen my buddy's in action. i like it because it's almost like a buzzbait that you can pause and then carry on with the retrieve without it sinking to the depths!

Fluorocarbon leader.
"cheap" is a relative term, but something like seaguar red label will be fine for leader material, maybe not main line, but no problem for leader.

Pitching at bluegill??
i'll watch them a lot at the pond and they coexist.... if a laydown looks promising, i'll pitch to it. even if there were a neon sign that said "no fish under this log" i'd still give it a shot!

Do we have a fishing superstition thread?
i really don't have any, but that's what my grandpa would always say!!
