Medium Heavy Spinning Rod < 50.00
The Powell Diesel series has a mh spinning rod in your budget also. It's a pretty stout rod and not bad for the money.

Why Change If Whatever Work's For Whoever?
The answer is don't change. I used a $15 Shakespeare excursion rod with a $25 Shimano Sienna reel for a long time. I don't catch any less fish now than I did then. Granted with today's technology in blanks and line. I probably catch a few more fish detecting bites I wouldn't have before but I'd say it's minimal. For me I enjoy owning 'nicer' gear. I stay within my means and all my bills get paid. It's nowhere near what some people spend but it works for me and I enjoy using it. You won't catch me with a $400-500 rod. I can't justify that kind of money on a rod when my $150-200 rod makes me happy.

Reel Techs .. Anti Reverse Question
^^^ I agree about the removing parts bit but let's use Daiwa for example. My zillion has no backup. So if the bearing fails I'm sol regardless. I can't say I've ever heard the being smoother part but I know people remove them all the time. I'm not a big shimano fan as we all know haha

How Many Magnetic Brakes Do You Have Turned On Your Reels? Anyone Have None?
I use the least amount for the bait and conditions. Some reels may be 3 and others 5 or 6. Shear distance isn't something I worry about. Putting the bait in the right location is more important to me. If you make a 50 yard cast on fluoro/mono,you aren't going to be in a good hookset range anyhow with a single hook. Cranks are a little different story.

Sniper for me as well.

Steez Or Core
I own a steez with rcs 1016 spool and boca os7 bearings. As mentioned it's butter smooth and light but I honestly don't feel it's worth the money I have invested in it. I'll second the casting issue. I have a bone stock tatula on the same rod and it see's 5x more use than the steez.

How Do You Fish With A Cranking Rod?
I have a similiar daiwa rod. Tatula wasn't made yet. I have a tatula rod but it's not the cranking rod. Reviews and user feedback are very very good for these rods though.

How Do You Fish With A Cranking Rod?
Deep divers are typically thrown on a mh/mod rod with low ratio reel. A rod with like a 3/8-1oz rating. That's because of the torque they generate. So a stiffer rod and winch type reel help with fatigue. For me anything over 10-12ft are my deep divers. I don't throw anything like the 10xd. Squarebills will do just fine on a regular medium or med/hvy fast action rod. Okay so 5/8 is your heaviest crank? What's the max depth of your deep divers? You can definitely get into a nice rod for $130. I'd take a look at the Daiwa Tatula 7'2 mh glass cranking rod. It's rated 1/4-1oz and will handle all your needs. It's $20 more on TW vs your Falcon. It can be had cheaper elsewhere but you kinda have to go through TW. The Duckett Ghost would be another to check out. They have a 7' med and a 7'6 mh. Duckett doesn't ever give lure weight specs on their rods so I couldn't tell you which is the best choice.

How Do You Fish With A Cranking Rod?
In all honesty it's a wimpy rod that doesn't offer a lot of variety for cranks. Just small stuff that weighs 1/4-3/8oz and doesn't go deeper than mid depth, 6-8ft. However it's the only moderate rod in the bucoo series. Let's see of we can get you some more help. What do you plan on throwing? Weights? Depths?

Okuma Guide Select Swimbait Rod Mh Or H
I own some okuma stuff already. I'm more than pleased with their stuff. Edit - I went with the 7'11 H I couldn't wait any longer.

Moderate just means it's flex point is further down the blank vs fast or extra fast. Keep your drag set properly and get the fish turned away from the cover and you'll be okay. Falcon is known for over rating their rods. Like I have a 6'10 heavy bucoo micro and if you go by lure weights,it's really only a medium heavy. So that rod you have is kind of a mix between a med-med/light.

That rod has a pretty low maximum weight limit of 1/2oz. I use mine for kvd 1.0 1.5's and 1/4oz traps.

Monster Bass On Nj Golf Course Spotted (Repost)
In my area you would be ran off any golf course you tried to fish. They're all privately owned and you would be trespassing on private property. It's cool you were given permission to fish it. Hope you land that big one. As for the other courses near you. I wouldn't just go walking up and start fishing without first letting someone know and/or getting permission first.

Okuma Guide Select Swimbait Rod Mh Or H
Pretty much have decided this is the rod I'm going to go with for my swimbait setup. A cardiff 301a and #20 big game or cxx. My question is that I have a couple things that aren't quite 1oz such as the jackall giron or the bbz 4". Also as of now my heaviest baits are the g2 shellcracker and mini ms slammer. I plan on grabbing a few other things like the savage 3d trout, hudd 68,9" slammer. Will the 7'11 h still load up okay or should I go with the 7'6 mh? Both have similiar ratings but the mh is 1/2-5oz rating instead of 1-6oz. Also the mh is a mod and the h is a mod/fast. I like the idea of moderate for smaller treble baits like the S waver 168 or the giron but I feel that the mod/fast would be a better choice for single hook baits like the U2 kill or hudd 68.

Megabass Popmax, Is It Any Good?
I have a couple. As mentioned the detail is unmatched and they work. I also have a few River2Sea bubble pop's. It's a cheaper alternative and works just as well. It looks like the same blank almost but it's not. The line tie and around the mouth is different. The shape of the lure is very similar though.

Drag Washer Question
Shimano uses a wet drag system which takes a special drag grease on the disc. If the seller removed the grease and ran it dry, it could eat away at the washer. Had this happen on a reel I purchased. I could see black flakes and it felt gritty when rubbed in between my fingers.

Is The Type R Worth The Extra 50$?
I own both and the only reason I have a type R is because I wanted the ipt of the 8:1:1 The type R has boca os7 bearings added to it plus 2 bearings added to the level wind. The other is 100% stock, except a good cleaning. I CAN'T tell a difference between the two reels. The regular tatula has no problem casting lighter stuff. Weightless fluke or senko for example.
