Question About Selling Items From A Sponsor?
I don't feel that he's doing any wrong as long as he isn't breaking a contractual agreement. I was on a rod companies promotional staff and purchased a handful of their rods at my price. They still made a profit on the sale. So they got what they wanted out of them. I sold the rods due to not being totally satisfied with their product. I lost money after shipping, bubble wrap, and purchasing PVC tubes.

7'2" Heavy For Frogging?
You'll be good to go. Buy it and go catch some nice fish.

Stonewall Jackson
Our club had a tourney there about a month ago. I didn't go bc it would of cost me too much to fish it alone. Anyhow there were some nice fish caught during pre fishing sessions and also in the tournament. I know a few 7# were weighed in.

Hooks On Airplanes
Yeah they didn't say anything about it to me. I read the same thing you did online from TSA. So I called and spoke to someone because I was unsure like yourself. I was advised to put anything sharp in my checked bag.

How Do You Guys Peg/pin Your T-Rig's Weights?
Bobber stops for smaller weights and T stops for bigger stuff.

Hooks On Airplanes
When I flew to Tx last May, it all had to be in my checked bag. I did put my reels and a bunch of soft plastics in my carry on though.

Need Help Picking Power/length/gear Ratio/action!
I wouldn't start with a fluorocarbon if you are just learning to use a baitcaster. You ARE going to backlash/birdsnest and if you kink fc line it becomes useless. So a mono or copolymer is a good starting point but I feel braid is a lot more forgiving when trying to get out a backlash and it casts better.

Lets Talk Combo's
Unless you are wanting the 8:1:1 ratio you can grab the regular tatula in 7:3:1 and save about $30. So the combo will run you right at $200. Use that extra money for some #65 braid and a few different frogs.

Maryland's Who's who!
Personally I don't feel it's that good. Everyone was having a tough time. Winning bag on day 1 was 7.8 or something like that with a lunker of 2.75 Only 2 bags in the 7 range that day. It's dominated by smallmouth but they're all dinks. It's kinda like fishing the gap. Yeah DCL is good for that. Pickerel, pike, perch, rock bass.

Daiwa Tatula 100 Or Lew's Tournament Speed Spool ?
Regular tatula can be had for $110-120 basically all day and the R model for $140-150. I've seen the tournament SS for about $120ish. I've owned both reels and whatever one you choose will be a great choice. Our site sponsor Ron from Valley Sports had them for $117. Not sure if that's still his price because I haven't bought a reel in a few months. I'd say check with him first and see what he can do for you. He also carries Lews.

Daiwa Zillion?
I own both. My zillion has the 100 m spool and boca os7 bearings. Plus a hawgtech handle but that really doesn't do anything per say. I love the reel and it's great at anything I use it for. Casts good, looks good, smooth, and palms good. The negative is that it's another $100 for those parts which brought my reel to $300 plus the $79 handle. I don't feel that it's a $300 reel. Maybe I'm just a tight wad I don't know. The tatula casts good, looks good,is butter smooth and palms ok for me. It's nowhere close to the way the zillion feels in my hand though. It's 100% stock and is right there with the zillions performance. Would I buy another zillion. Yes,absolutely but it'd have to be a good deal. Not sure if this will actually help you decide but it's just my .02 for what it's worth.

Powell Or Duckett
Nothing bad to say about either but I'd buy more Powell's before a Duckett.

Sleepy Creek Lake, Wv
Funny you mention the snakes. I was told the same thing by an old man when I was at one spot. I mentioned I was gonna try to walk some bank bc the shoreline access is very limited. I quickly changed my mind. The road into this place is crazy. Then once you leave the paved road it's 6-8 miles on dirt.

Livetarget Field Mouse.
Yes. I put it in the sink and it's on the bottom in under 30 seconds. After speaking with them. He said it sounds like the weight wasn't completely sealed when it was made.
-
Livetarget Field Mouse.
I can understand the back end sitting lower in the water. That's were the weight is located but mine sinks to the bottom in under 30 seconds.

Livetarget Field Mouse.
I called and left a message. So we will see what they'll do for me. It's straight out of the package.Edit-Got a call back. I had to email them a photo of the mouse and my info. I'll receive a free replacement in the mail.

Livetarget Field Mouse.
So I dropped $14 on this thing at my local shop the other day. Today I tie it on for the first time. Make a cast and get a handful of twitches in before I notice I can't see it anymore. It's basically sitting below the water. Mine takes on water like the titanic. Is there a fix for this? I was possibly going to seal the hole with some silicone or something similar. Pretty disappointed in this little guy for that price. I'd understand if it was in the bargain bin at Walmart.

Bps Pq Failure ?? Need A Reel Guys Advice!
That's your pinion gear. The part should be like $5-10. I'd send it to Mike/DVT and he will take care of you.

Fathers Day ! Beatdown New Pb
Awesome catch. It's over 6lbs for sure. That's all I know about the weight. I agree with others on the trespassing part. The owner has to be a nice guy if he's giving you permission to fish there even after catching you on his property.
