Noticed Something Interesting About Baitcasters Just Now.
Because Americans are backwards.

Marten's Tungsten Shrink Tubing
I use the same trick. I knew I wasn't alone but never heard anyone say they did it.

$50-$70 Flip And Pitch Rod
#1 Veritas 7'6 mh #2 Diesel 7'6 mh The Veritas is a lot lighter and balances pretty well for a rod of that length. It's a tad tip heavy but no where near as much as the diesel. Also the diesel has no warranty at all and abu has great CS and will replace a broken rod hassle free. Both are stouter than their mh rating so don't worry about that.

Comparing The Tatula To Other Reels
Why is it so important of a feature for you Jeff? Just curious.

Comparing The Tatula To Other Reels
I pitch rage craws a good bit with 3/16 and 1/4 weights and 30-50lb braid. I think you'll be fine. The tatula has mag force Z and a dual bearing supported pinion gear which gives it a very smooth feeling. I believe that's their 'air rotation' system. The reel has a very positive feeling when pressing the thumb bar and engaging the reel after a cast. Try it and if you don't like it then put it in the flea market. You won't get stuck with it.

Is It Seeing That
^^^ I like your interpretation of the story.

Comparing The Tatula To Other Reels
Other then it being a larger framed reel there's really no negatives about it. You'd be hard pressed to find a better $100 reel. I have a dozen Daiwa reels and I always seem to go for it. Even over some higher end reels. Comparing it to a zillion I really don't think is fair but it's smooth and casts great. How light are you talking? I can throw a weightless super fluke or senko with my tatula.

Show off your Stuff
Nothing special but it'll do the trick. Okuma 7'11 H with Cardiff 301 and 9" slammer. Added carbontex drag washers to the 301 and owner st41's to the slammer.

Seagar Red Label
My opinion is it's as good as mono. It's not very sensitive. Abrasion resistance isn't real good. It has memory issues without any l&l and it's got a decent amount of stretch. There's a reason it's $13. Pickup something better and your fluoro experience will be better too. Sunline sniper is reasonably priced. Berkeley 100% fc isn't bad either.

Just How Many
This is exactly what needs to happen at one particular lake by my house. You will usually win the tournament if you bring in a limit @ 4-6lbs 2 weeks ago I was shocked because it took 11 to win. A 4/5/6 were caught that night. My friend pre fished it today for tomorrow's tourney and out of the 2 they boated 44 fish. 8 hit the keeper mark of 12"

New Reel And First Spool Of Braid
The tension will probably help for a bit but the main problem lies in the size of the braid you're using. Tie off your line to something sturdy and walk it out till the end. Then reel it back in while keeping good tension on the line. Honestly jumping up to #40 will give you less headaches and is a better fit for a casting reel.

Powell Releases New Rod Series
I love all my endurance's. The 723 is such a great do everything stick. I bought a second. The purple doesn't bother me. I like it better than the baby food green of the original max. Even the new series of max still doesn't do it for me in the looks department. At $150 I'll continue to build my collection of endurance's.

Powell Releases New Rod Series
They'll keep it. It's too popular of a series.

Powell Releases New Rod Series
According to the write up it's a new blank material and they've basically made a max endurance hybrid. I called just because I was curious and spoke with the owner Keith also. He said it's lighter than the endurance. Sensitivity is better than the old max and as good or better than the endurance. It uses the smaller Fuji guides that are on the endurance. Also popular lengths that you find in both series. Can order direct from Powell on 10-15-14. Hopefully someone who owns an endurance gets one and compares. I don't like the max series compared to the endurance. We shall see if this new model is better.

Powell Releases New Rod Series
We know it's been coming but they've finally debuted it. It's called the max 3d. Msrp is $189.99 Looks like the normal max with a skeletal reel seat and some brighter green thread wraps. Pics are up on their fb page.

Wader Fishermen Please Help!
Frog Toggs are reasonably priced. I think mine were $60. They're the boot foot kind.

What's The Best Reel You Have Ever Used?
Steez w/ 1016 spool and zillion w/ 100m spool. I'm also impressed by the tatula for the money. In my area they're aren't many enthusiast that I've encountered so I'm basically on my own. I'm sure if I joined and made friends with any of the local clubs I'd meet more but as of now my friends think I'm crazy. They should meet some of you and they'll realize I'm in the minority haha

Braid
Original power pro for me. Been using it for a long time with no troubles. Purchased 832 recently to try because of all the people I hear say how great it is. Nothing bad to say about it but it's nothing special. Seems noiser to me honestly.

Wader Fishermen Please Help!
^^^ had that happen last week while wading. Walking out was super soft and was sucking my feet in. Coming back I found a really soft spot and was up to my knees in a blink. Had a little freak out moment for a few seconds and then worked my way out. My friends stood on the shore laughing while I struggled a bit to not fall over. Through the summer I just wade in old shoes and some shorts. Other times I use Frog Toggs chest waders.

Am I Wrong To Fish Straight Braid For Wake Swimbaits?
Some people do use braid and have no issues but it seems the majority throw #20-30 pline cxx or something similar. The one time when you get a backlash and your braid snaps and your bait goes sailing off you'll wish you had it. Luckily they're floaters and you can possibly retrieve it but what if it's not? By no means do I know much about swimbaits but I've been doing a lot of research because I just bought a dedicated setup to throw larger 6-9" baits with. Pline cxx always gets mentioned.
