I've used a handful of different brands in my search to find the one that suited me the best. I've stuck with Sunline sniper for over a year now. There's nothing bad to say about it. Memory isn't bad without a conditioner. It's very sensitive on slack line bites. Knot strength is good and abrasion resistance. Sometimes you can find a but one get one deal on it also. 2 spools for $25 I had good experiences with Berkley 100% fc also. Decent for a $16 line. Walmart stopped carrying it. Have to order if I wanted more. Bps xps worked well too. Only bps is 2hrs away. Seaguar red label is cheap but the sensitivity just wasn't there for me. A glorified mono in my eyes. The invisx was ok but it had some memory issues to me. Line and lure helped though.

Hawgtech handles support their cork knobs or shimano septon knobs. Their sales would definetly go up if the produced a handle that allowed the use of Daiwa knobs.

I have 2 of that rod. Falcon Bucoo's are overrated so it's a true med/hvy rod. I've never had a single issue with the guides. It uses Fuji components. It's a mod/fast action and though I've used it for T rigs without a problem mine get spinnerbait and lipless crank duty.

Just the size of the bait and weight.

It says it has a braid ready spool. Honestly I think it's more of a selling point. I haven't owned a reel that isn't braid compatible.

It's an extremely smooth reel right out of the box. There's not much to do in that department. I have a standard tatula that's 100% stock and I have a type R that has the bushings replaced in the worm gear and knobs. Also boca orange seal bearings for the spool. I honestly can't say that it's any smoother then the other one or has any more casting distance. I did that stuff because I like to tinker with things. It's your first baitcaster so as you get more experienced you'll get better at casting and gain distance through experience and time on the water. A carbon fiber handle will lighten it up but I'm not sure by how much. The same with the jdm shallow spool. The handle would also cover the cosmetic department. As mentioned hedgehog studios offers a bunch of cosmetic parts that will make it look different. Honestly I'd just fish it and enjoy it.

90% of my fish this year have been a on Tx rig rage craw with 3/16 or 1/4 tungsten weight.

I have #6 yozuri on my spinning reel. I use kvd l&l on it. It's plenty strong and casts well.

I've only ever used power pro because it's readily available to me at Walmart and is like $15. I won't say it's the best because I've got nothing to compare it to but it's worked good for the past 8yrs.

Yeah it has a cap like the speed spool and the other is like the tournament pros. Well the one she went and checked was the older version. So I guess just try and specify which one you would want.

Ok I just called and spoke with Lews just to clear some things up for anyone interested, and myself. The handle assembly is $50 shipped. They are already pre packaged and ready to go. It's 100% complete. You get the handle with knobs,handle nut,nut retainer, and screw. So it's a 1 and done deal. Everything you would need comes with it. Just have to tell them right or left hand so you get the correct handle nut. The part # is CFH95B and just say left or right hand when ordering. It's the same assembly as on a tournament pro. She said they all are the same kit and their is no new or old version. Hope that helps someone out. Also for anyone interested. If you don't like the Lews paddle grips,abu and bps knobs will fit on it.

Went back this morning from 8:30-12:30 21 fish with my biggest being 3.2oz and my partner managed a 4.5oz out of his 20+ fish.

I was a ziplock guy but switched last year. It's way more efficient for my needs to use Plano boxes. I'd have 6-10 gallon bags and then 10-20 smaller bags inside of it. I would have to move the big bag of flukes,tubes,lizards,grubs,worms,senkos,brush hogs,trailers,beavers,ect ect and then I finally find the craw bag. Now I have to dump it out and find my green pumpkin purple/gold flake craws. I can keep all my craws in 2 3700 boxes. Let's me see what I'm low on and most important find it right away.

That's just what you have to get used to with a good soft plastic. The softness helps with creating the action and the action is what catches the fish. Most soft plastics that are more dense don't have the same action. Invest in some mend it and you can manage a few more fish out of each bait. I use the rage craw exclusively. Along with the anaconda worm.

Here you can see what I'm talking about. The Lews uses an acorn style nut with retainer ring to keep it from spinning. The Daiwa uses an open nut and retainer cap to keep it from spinning. "IF" the pre drilled hole in the Lews handle matches up with the hole in the Daiwa cap then you will only need the Lews handle and nothing else. I can't say if it will though so the easiest route is to buy all 3 pieces from Lews.

The handles are universal. They'll fit lh or rh. The retainer ring and screw are also universal but the handle nut needs to be lh or rh specific. The t3 has a beauty cap that covers the open nut. So there's nothing that you would be able to re use except the screw. The Lews use an acorn style nut that uses a retainer ring to keep it from spinning loose. Like how the daiwa steez is. So you'll need all the pieces. Handle,lh nut,retainer,screw.

Yes but just be aware of what style nut you have. Like mentioned Lews uses/used a closed acorn style nut and a retainer ring. A lot of daiwa reels use an open nut and a cap to cover it. So the cap might not line up with the hole in the Lews handle.

I spray them in my my garage and the brake cleaner evaporates off the floor. As for the smell. I'm not really bothered by it but I just open the doors if so.

It's bigger then my 6.5oz so I'd say at least 7 but it looks bigger. Either way great job man and it's one to be proud of.
