What info are you wanting? The main part of the rod connects to the bottom inside the handle. This is a Volkey.

I had one myself, and paid about the same for it. Was my first boat. I'd buy another if I found one locally. I'd recommend getting it with the trailer. They aren't super heavy, but it would take two adults to load and unload it easily. It's stable enough to stand and fish out of. Go for it.

Exactly and some people's ideas of a rods power differ. Also the rods tip plays a big part. I had a 7'3 *** H and it was a heavy in my eyes. The guy above feels that his mh *** is more like a heavy. My champ extreme 704 is labeled as a heavy but due to it having a softer tip I'd say it fishes more like my endurance 723 mh.

I always fish them weightless, and backwards. I like to use a 4/0 ewg with screw lock keeper.

The more you do something the easier it becomes. Just like lifting weights per say. I throw square bills on a mh rod and a 6:X:1 ratio reel. We fished last Saturday from 11-8 out on the boat. I used it all day along with a jerkbait. I could see it possibly getting tiring using a spinning combo of you don't throw them often. Most are a low ratio reels, and you'd have to reel it faster.

That's exactly why I fell in love with the Powell Endurance. Every one that I owned had great balance. Plus for $130-150 they were nice rods. I was bummed when they were discontinued.

To fish it on casting gear would require one to have a BFS combo. Generally speaking it's not a cheap combo to put together. $400 +\- $100 The basics of the ned rig are 1/16oz jig head #4-8 line #6 for most 1/2 a Zinker or a whole TRD worm

It's the graphite 705cb that's a mh/mf 1/4-1oz It's one of the new Fury rods. The 663 might be a better choice due to length. My shortest rod is 7' so it wouldn't hurt to have a 6'6 on hand. Main duties would be. 1.5 and 2.5 SB's 7/16 shadow rap jerkbaits I have a Phenix 713 for lighter stuff. The 704 is more what I'm looking for due to its length,but I'm not planning on spending that much. I usually use my 703 or other mh rods for all that I've mentioned above. Handle length is the issue with jerkbaits though. I have short arms or maybe it's how I hold the rod close to me. Not a big deal on my boat, but I bought a ride 115 and will be fishing out of it a good bit this season. Also beating the banks a bit.

Going to be picking one up here during the TW sale. That's the plan anyhow. However I will be wanting it to double as my jerkbait/topwater rod. Will it do the jobs I need it to? Main uses wil be squarebills and lipless cranks. I don't throw jerkbaits a lot so it will see those less. Then it will see some poppers and spook type baits. It mentions everything but jerkbaits in the description so I'm not too worried about the other baits. First hand experience is always better than a description on a website though. Thanks BR

I understand the marketing,sponsors,and the endorsements part of the debate. Lets use Sunline for example. They make all types of lines. So as long as the pro was using Sunline then they are endorsing their sponsors product. Why would they use a line 'fluoro' that offers no benefits to them when trying to earn a check? I like fluoro for its slack line sensitivity, and general bottom contact situations.

Location,bottom structure, and cover. I'll second the "In pursuit of giant bass" book. There's a ton of good info to be taken from it.

Depending on how light the reel is, and how long the rod is. It can take a lot of weight in the butt to acheive a nice balance. Rod weights vary too. Also with super light rods, and reels sometimes a heavier reel will balance it better. I prefer a rod to be balanced on/at the reel seat nut. I can't deal with a tip heavy rod. I had a Denali Jadewod that took over 3oz to achieve a decent balance point. That was with a 8oz reel. I sold it the very next day.

This is why I only purchase swimbaits that are tried and true performers. Why waste time, and money on something if you don't have to. That's my mindset.

If it looks that pretty I can't afford it. Super nice though!

Yeah I've peeked at their stuff before. I'm actually not a fan of the drag star. I like the steez star the best. Wish I could put it on every Daiwa I have.

I only have one close to me, and though they have some Zoom stuff it's not much. I was able to find 2 bags of ultra vibe worms. They were black/blue at that. Not a top color for me.
