Kayak Bass Fishing!
Decided to finish my crate today since it was warm out and I ordered a new kayak to sit it in. A 2014 ride 115x advanced angler will be arriving in the next 7-10 days. Pretty excited about it.

Thinking About Getting A Megabass F6-70Xx Tour Versatile Rod
Call Gary @ The Tackle Trap and he can give you a lot of great info on Megabass rods. He fishes them. They're also an authorized dealer so you may be able to get a good price on your new rod.

Sunline Sniper Flurocarbon
Yes, it's good line. Even better with a Mustad hook tied on the end of it.

Ish Monroe Baits?
I like the phat frog and poppin' phattie the best out of any frogs I've thrown. They will not fill with water due to the design.

Feeling Like A Dummy
A ball head jig was the norm for the shakey head technique for a long time. That's what was available before these 'shakey' head jigs came to the market. Don't get too caught up in the choices available now. Some guys still use a normal ball head jig. A few popular choices are the spot remover, yum pumpkin Ed, Megastrike shakE2. I've used the first two for a good while. Just bought a bunch of the Megastrike heads and it will probably be the only one I'll ever use again. Stands up everytime and won't fall on its side.

Was It Safe To Buy Sunglasses From Here?
Luckily for you it's a legit site, but why would you buy something from a site that you don't know is safe or not? That's a pretty dumb move and a good way to possibly have issues.

How Fast Do You Guys Go Through Line?
A 300 yard spool of braid would spool 6 reels with backing for me. It also would last me all fishing season unless something crazy happened. With normal break offs and re ties I'd be fine though. My record last year was 17 days in a row. At least 2hrs on the water but 2x a week it was 8hrs.

Dobyns Champion Rods
I don't get the whole balance thing you guys talk about with Dobyns. I own 3 of them. The Champ 733,703, and a 704dx. They're pretty light and the balance isn't terrible but it takes the right reel. The 704 with a 6.5oz reel is great but lighter or heavier and I don't care for it. Same with the other 2 that I own. The 733 needs a 7oz + reel. I like my balance point to be basically on the reel seat nut or within 1/2" of it. They seem to be fine rods but they don't balance well with lighter reels, and 90% of my reels are under 6oz.

Hook Explanation?
I use the skip gap a lot. I wish it came in a thicker version but it's held up very well so far.

I Just Joined The Kayak Fishing Club
Same here hopefully. I just sold my kayak tonight. Heck I never even put it in the water after buying it a few months ago. I just realized it wasn't what I really wanted and it wasn't right for me.

Shout Out To Siebert Outdoors
He is a great guy to buy from. I had one small issue with some jig heads I ordered and he more than made up for it. Even though I told him it wasn't a big deal to me.
