Reel Spooler
I have used the $29.95 model for years. I wore the first one out and the second one is about to go (one of the plastic springs broke). Academy had the other one on sale early this spring and I bought one (costs more, must be better, right?). It is not as good as the first one. There is no way to put tension on the spool, you might as well just put a pencil through the spool and save your $32.95. I'm going to get another of the $29 model and sell the other one in an upcoming garage sale.

USPS and shipping rates
Its still cheaper than UPS or FedEx unless you have a corporate hook up.

can my jeep pull it??
The lift kit and tires are going to be a problem. You will need to have a custom receiver hitch made that will drop the traile low enough to have the boat and trailer level (or close to it). If your jeep has an automatic transmission, that will be more of a concern than the motor.

You gotta be ****** me!
A couple of years ago, I was turning onto the on ramp to the interstate and there were two what looked to be homeless guys holding up a sign that said "Need money for beer". I gave 'em $10 because I figured they were the only honest ones out there.

Clayton, you need to move fast on this. Dallas City Marshall, county constables and the Sheriff are in a "round up the people with oustanding warrants" mode right now. They're trying to make up for all the budget shortfalls in the area.

Abyone with a Skeet Reese Revo?
Just a wild a** guess, but that reel on TT looks like a "home made" Skeet Reese to me. Take a beat up Revo S, some yellow and black spray paint = instant SR.

Best Pole for $20 and under
Don't use WD-40, I know Wal Mart carries the Abu oil, K Mart closed all their stores in my area so I'm not sure about them but they did carry it when they were open here.

Zero Brake Setting for Casting Reel
This is directly from the sheet inside the wooden case the Stogie came in: "We have included all of the premier features found in our Calcutta reels, but by using premium ABEC 5 bearings this Stogie is smoother than a drag off of a Cohiba".

Whats the strangest way you've seen people fishing?
Spinning reel mounted upside down on a 5 1/2 foot pistol grip casting rod. I have actullay seen this more than once.

I believe Airrus is now part of Castaway or at least partnered in some way with them.

Rod Bag/Carrier
The one on top is $170, and only takes rods up to 5 feet (or two piece rods), the other two are $30 - $40 and they will take up to 7 foot rods. If you put rods in the one in the middle the way it is shown, it bends like a bow. The one on the bottom holds as many rods as the one in the middle but all the reels are at one end and it doesn't bend.

Daiwa Advantage Reels
Those reels are all discontinued and you should be able to get them at a substantial discount. I have 150h, 153hst and 153h7; I got the all at around 50% off at real stores, not Ebay.

Problem with new Revo: HELP!
I'm not sure about the Revo since I don't have one, but EVERY other reel that I have taken the crank side plate off of, I've had to hold the thumb bar up and make sure the release is engaging properly when reassembling the reel.

Spiral Wrap
Sorry David, I was posting from memory and must have confused your rods with some other rods I looked at online. Anyway, thanks for the reply, it answers my question.

Spiral Wrap
I have two original Bud Ehrhardt Fishin' Sticks that are spiral wrapped. Both of them have the spiral to the right (as you look down the rod from the handle). I was looking at some rods that David Green has for sale that are spiral wrapped and those have the spiral to the left. Is there a preference as to which way the spiral goes? Does it make a difference whether you cast left or right handed?

Towing on a bumper
I just looked up the current Tracker Pro 175W, which has about the same carrying capacity (1050 lbs) and is rated for a 75hp motor. The package weight (includes boat, motor, trolling motor, and trailer) is 1,600 pounds. This is probably slightly more that the one you are looking at but not by much.
-
Towing on a bumper
The weight of the boat is not included in that number. That number is the carrying capacity of the boat: motor, people and gear including trolling motor, gasoline, etc. Then you have to add the weight of the trailer.
-
Towing on a bumper
Read the owners manual for the truck, it will tell you what the towing capacity of the truck is. I think you are under estimating the weight of the boat, motor and trailer. It is probably at least 1500 pounds.
