Ya know Scott...ya got me thinking...not many people carry cash anymore. There was a guy I fished with who most always said....OH...forgot to get cash...will catch up with ya....he always did but have seen more cards than cash now days....wonder if we'll have to have a paypal account to fish small tourneys soon?

Today marks our 44th year together......amazing...in fishing terms she's a keeper.

Was fishing with my son Tuesday and we were just talking and the subject went to food. I had previously quit my job (part time) (first time I've ever quit a job) at a local large grocery store. They had a salad bar and I would watch what went on and have watched this at restaurants too so....I am done with salad bars. Several months ago I was told I have CLL which affects the ammune system and yesterday I found out I have Pneumonia ....what a ride. Anyway to those who pay attention to little things there were many people who "did not" wash there hands before using all the tongs in the various salad items. There were many people who had a cough who did the same. The worst was when using the rest room close by and noticing people in front of me around lunch hour who did not feel they needed to wash their hands after using the facilities. Now...I didn't observe every day as I was not in area....but it was enough that....NO MORE FOOD BARS!!! Sorry for the Debbie Downer but I like you guys and I just had the light bulb go off in my head. Tight Lines

We do our feeders on metal pipe poles....raccoons, possums, skunks are a pain. But it works. We go through about 20 plus pounds of black sunflower a week in winter...not so much now as I want them to learn to find their own too...especially the babies. Two winters ago when it was pretty cold we had over twenty male cardinals in the back yard at one time.....was amazing and colorful. Not sure how many species we have....but quite a few.

I now have a renter!!! Put a hanging basket on upper patio and noticed yesterday a C. Wren making a nest. Will have to be careful how I water!!

Used to have a hot dog cart and sold Nathen's with all the fixins......they were amazing. Had some fun times.

May you get well soon Took my son and 2 grandsons out for some bank fishing for a couple hours at a local park. Was awesome...hooked three bass...landed one keep. Wore out the bluegill....wore out.....they loved it. Storm came....we left

Another way to save some misfortune is to just ship your items in advance and it's there waiting for you. Would work especially well if you have family there. Rods in PVC of course and it sure saves the "BS" at airports.

Hearts out to you and them...it's so tough. We lost our daughter to cancer as many have and think of her every .... single .... day. Grandkids and son get lots of hugs and they give em too....precious

I have used Shimano baitcasters for years....mostly the older white colored Chronarch's and the original green Curado's. OH....I do have a couple Chronarch mags that are amazing too. Most would be considered antiques but with Reel X out west and I try to keep some cleaning and oil and lube on them. They still all work and are dependable. Enjoy

Just saw all your postings on this (my bad) and had to chime in. FIRST....thank you to everyone who had a hand in this....very much. To be outside working on the boat and the postman walks up and hands me a rod tube!?!?!?!? I too thought I haven't ordered a rod in years. So I was shocked and looked at the return address and saw that it was from Mike at "Delaware Tackle DVT" I called him and asked is this real....mistake...whats going on! It is a beauty and now my official chatterbait rod as it seems to be perfect for this. I was almost (was) in tears and had to look up to our heavens and say thank you too. God sure knows our hearts.....OMG. I know I have said this a couple times but will have to get wife or son to help me in the picture department. Oh.....the rod is a Rainshadow ... REVELATION. It also says on the side....NON SIBI SED PATRIAE......I need to call mike again and ask what this means. Again I most humbly thank you all....Tight Lines

My first thought is Christmas as it reminds me of who's in charge and sent his Son to die for my sorry $#@!. I don't like what the world has done with it though as with most holidays. I used to enjoy holiday weekends but gosh oh golly it can be a mess out there. By the way...."You All have a safe and happy weekend"

Have used Kevlar for years and pretty much will not use a spinnerbait, jig, chatterbait without having been tied. If I want to slap it on the water I want things to stay in place. On another note it's enjoyable to me to spend time tying, and fixing up tackle rather than just go to store all the time and just use as is. Tight Lines

Nice fish....in looking at the tree's can't believe they are just budding. We've had full on leafs for quite awhile now...oh my.

I don't use many high end lures...matter of fact I've given some a boat ride for many years.....just don't want to risk loosing...especially in muskie and toothy fish waters. I do like the performance of high end rods and reels and was and am blessed to have several. Have kept them clean and serviced and they have lasted a long time. Prices now kind of scare me so I'm hoping to get some more years out of them.

I did not....but the mystery is still there.....was really shallow and almost right on a rock under this bush. Had not seen any gar or muskies in area....oh well...had to have had some shoulders what ever it was.

Had a small tourney last night and was by myself....was pretty tough as all I was getting was short fish and it was only a three fish limit. Pulled into a little cove about 45 minutes before weigh in and caught a "marginal" keeper at best. Then put two decent ones in the boat and I'm feeling this is ok and but could feel myself getting a little wound up hoping for a bigger bite. Well.....cast over to this shallow little spot with no real expectations and tap...tap...tap...I hammered him/her. "Kerpow" 20# fluro exploded halfway down the rod......sadness....pure sadness...I have got to calm down. Tight lines
