  1. I'm a Dry Creek Tube's fan.... Candy is dandy
  2. Definitly a mind set. I would try to go very early and then time when there's a pause in the early afternoon to pull out. Or fish to dark. I too do not care for crowds...especially me me me crowds but it is what it is. Go fish...laugh at the idiots...pray for others and try some new stuff to see what happens. Don't set your expectations to high other than hopefully everything works and you feel a few tugs. Good Luck
  3. EWWWWWWWWWWW......I won't put in print what I think of those....:)
  4. Well....poooh. I read an article also on another site and it mirrored my feelings and thoughts about the Ned Rig. Well...I too went to Bass Pro and bought some of the hooks and little stubby things. It made a tuff day pretty good I must say. Caught a lot of fish especially when the high cold sky's hit along with wind. Lost a couple good ones and missed a few but am assuming I pulled the trigger to hard or fast. This this could be a winner..... Have "NEVER" in my life fished one bait or rig all day......NEVER. Very cost effective.
  5. GOD...Family...Fishing...(is there anything else)
  6. Nope....was a great guide for the non-boater. When we started the day I asked his favorite way to fish and he said a worm....Oooop's....I said we were probably going to fish reaction for the first several hours....Well ... it was all day. He had one jerk that was close to mine in color so he put it on and rest is history. I put over 20 in boat but only 3 keeps...for third and big fish. He caught six for second place. I needed one more keeper....but....was an awesome day. Can hardly wait to go back the end of month.
  7. When I lived there I "heard" a lot. Long Tom had a good population. Willamette river has decent smallies along with Thomas Creek. Many ponds along Willamette if you can get access. Fern Ridge...tough but has some hogs. Triangle Lake....same. Good Luck
  8. Besides...fish was purty and I have a face for radio!!!
  9. Just a week ago fishing an underwater island marked by a red river marker a guy in a boat was heading right at us while we were fishing....well...he had his work cut out for him as it stopped him cold. Felt both sorry and disappointed for him. P.S. You did good in just turning away....I might of looked up and said ....GOD...this ones yours please....you handle it.
  10. If fish are going to start biting only $80 and above lures I guess I'm going to get better at golf!!! Just plain out of my league.
  11. So sorry...will have to see if my wife can help me post a pic....I'm horrible on this....horrible. Sorry
  12. Oregon Native posted a topic in Fishing Reports
Usually don't do a fishing report but I just had to add to all these good stories. Smokey Mt had their first club tourney on Chic yesterday and it was an amazing day. Also an interesting day. My non-boater caught six fish....five keepers. I caught around 20 with three keeps. But .... one was 7# 2oz which is a personal best for me in Tennessee since moving here. What was amazing was it was on a jerkbait and just plain kicked my @#$!. Can't remember the last time a fish pulled off line like that unless it was a striper. Was beautiful too in that it was snowing too. So anyway ... WOW....Tight Lines to all...
  13. Very nice
  14. No swimbait........sadness. Nice lion though. Catch a big-un
  15. Gosh....I believe I would listen to music on a beach in a lawn chair watching the world go by......NOT. Music is for in the car or home or work where I don't mind being distracted. On the water I love being distracted by nature. To each his own too.
  16. No Thank You on several counts!!
  17. When your fishing one of those tough days when there's a cold wind and high sky's after a major rain dump and the first osprey you've seen this year fly's by with a bigger fish than you!!! Yup....me yesterday. Caught some but could land no keepers...beautiful day.
  18. OH.....MY.....GOSH
  19. Soooooooooooo glad your lake is going to open. You need some fishing time before the ol sawdust takes over. Tight Lines
  20. Just before this last storm hit eastern Tennessee I was out golfing after a day of fishing and I was attacked by a couple mosquito's. This was in February!!!! I have never had this happen before...especially since I'm from Oregon. But a first for me too in Tennessee in February. Could get ugly this year!!! The "After Bite" and "Picaridin" are going in the boat!! Tight Lines
  21. Belongs in a case!!!
