  1. There was a 7lber caught on one of local lakes last year through the ice...and a handful of 5-6lb fish. So yeah! Ive fished that lake my whole life and have never caught a 7 lol
  2. 6lbs on a live target...6.02 to be exact No splash...nothin! The frog just dissapeared with a little ripple and i set the hook! Ole girl jumped and i was like " whoa! Big girl big girl! Lol
  3. Chronarch 51e and a ci4 stradic Maybe a scorpion 1501 instead of the chronarch...maybe
  4. Im a mid range guy... curado, lews Tp, ci4, 13 omens, 13 *** and croix ltb. I see no reason to beyond those points however i understand why people do. Yes i lust over the metaniums, cores, team lews, LEs and NRX but they arent needed, they are wanted...and i understand lol I slayed em on a symetre and lightning rod for many years. Skills, location and timing trump money everytime. Heck most pros dont have all tje highend stuff and they make a living fishing! Well some of them do lol
  5. No you dont...i did it with 20lb flouro and 20lb braid for years. Then i started using braid. My hook ups are now more consitant and it is 10 fold easier rippin those fish out the pads and weeds. So yeah it can be done without braid but man it is way easier and less problematic with braid Make the switch and dont look back If this is a multi purpose rod then tie on a FC leader when you arent froggin
  6. The citrix is a pretty nice reel...palms, casts and retrieves very nicely. It was however one the more difficult reels to tune. I enjoyed the one i played with overall. I like my curado E and I better though
  7. Lol...and the downward spiral begins! Pretty soon you have buzzers, frogs, sammies and wakebaits on deck...all at the same time lolol d**n i love me a topwater bite!
  8. TNT trumps all when fishing...dont forget your net and ear plugs
  9. Because it is what i do, i love the rush of stickin a fish that i tricked...that i absolutely love being on the water...the only problem i have with bass fishing is the lack of the "salt" smell
  10. I like the Saros better than the new symetre...and for a few extra bucks its a good buy imo
  11. You guys consider 1/4 and 3/8 jigs finesse? I throw 1/8oz jigs ( with a rage craw or zoom swimmin chunk) on 14# invisx on a 7'1 MHXF croix LTB with a lews TP...thats rhe only thing i use that rod for. To ne honest i wish the rod was a hair less stiff but it works great for what i do with it so im gonna leave it be for now. I do however have a chronarch 51e cominf for that rod lol
  12. I know my bps rick clunn had been going strong until this spring...( drag diac is shot lol) bought it new in 2003. This winter it is off to mike at dvt for a carbontex drag and a supertune...
  13. Depends Flipping and pitching docks and timber i believe it is super important...everyrhing else not so much lol
  14. you have bigger fish to fry right now new guy...the fish will wait trust me. they waited for me for 12 years...actually they got bigger!
  15. my mistake didnt see stradic lol Both a once again awesome reels and weigh about the same. I would go ci4 based on the price and line management system "propulsion"
  16. Premier is lighter and has a few more bells and whistles. The ci4 is a smooth long caster in a small package. Both are great but the ci4 gets my vote for value.
  17. Ive done in less than 3ft with success...ive also gone as deep as 60ft and was getting hit before the bait was down 10 lol
  18. Next season will be my first ever with electronics...soooo yeah lol I believe i have overlooked to many spots and or not fished them as thouroughly as needed due to not having a good idea of the bottom. I did win one tourny this year and finished in the top five a few times but i was the only boat without electronicsand i think i can certainly improve my odds amd catch rate with them loll
  19. I know i dont have enough lol I think i have 8 or 9 right now lol
  20. I got 30$!!! Pay pal? Lolol Lucky! I found a new in box shimano tld at a yard sale once for 15$...i snatched it up and caught my first tarpon on it a few weeks later
  21. One other thing about jerks I like 12# flouro most of the time, however if i want it to hang alittle higher i use 20# or 30# braid
  22. I like a 7 mh mod for jerkbaits with a 7.1 reel topwater i like a 7 mhf with a 6.2-6.4 reel However if i could only have one to do both it be a 7mhf with a reel pulling in 28-32 ipt
