  1. hard work is BS...you dont get rich famous and #1 by doing hard work
  2. shimano sedona is nice but $60 if you dont mind spending an extra $10...i like mine and use for salt and fresh all the time
  3. i have to take a class and im taking it online also...people are saying its a ton more work they give you but i dont mind it cause everything i know about computers and such ive learned on my own at home so its all the same to me
  4. this i have found to be true...me and my friend do it to each other a lot and everytime the next outing the one saying junk gets like 1-2 fish and the other catches a bunch
  5. never broiled but i like cutting it into quarters and leaving it on the shell and throwing it in soup
  6. sorry i meant to say walk the dog style lures
  7. some walmart cheapos are pretty good like the shakespear platinum...we drop them in salt water and all no rinse no clean no nothing and they still go strong...its just heavy as hellllllll
  8. fish a bit away from the school and make the bait look injured
  9. try replacing the craw trailer with a swim tail trailer that has the tail stick out a little from the jig(doesnt have to match the jig color either) and skim it off the bottom so it kicks up a tiny bit of stuff as its slowly moving along....you can also bounce it off the bottom at a decent pace(some small fish feed off the bottom with their tails sticking up)
  10. you should try slow moving baits that are erratic like flukes and such maybe will trigger that easy meal for not much effort responce
  11. IMO you can dump everything except the spinning rod and be good to go
  12. sorry i forgot to say that i go anyway but the if its a full moon or harvest moon that dictates the species ill go after
  13. i would just try it lol who uses steel leaders with top water? maybe it creates a better action or makes the fish look injured or something so you never know you might find the next best thing lol
  14. haha exactly what i was thinking...a lot is a close enough estimate for me lol
  15. exactly and what if they waited till the person left to get the lure it would be the same thing lol..you already considered it a loss so it doesnt matter either way
  16. mine are Mark Tremonti and John Petrucci
  17. nah i do all my routine maint for my car but that is more important because that gets me to work to make money pay bills and get me to my fishing spots but my reels i have found that some reels will hold up to that abuse so i save myself the trouble and go for those...my reels generally last about 4 years before they need to be replaced but i do have reels that are older than 10 years and have seen hell in saltwater sand dirt mud etc and the only time they even get rinsed off is if im fishing in the rain and have no problems with them....ive even dunked them in salt water to rinse them off while using them cause they got dirty(and still never even rinsed them off with fresh water) you can clean and lube your reels all you want mine take the abuse and keep going strong without it so im good to go lol (other than they look like hell scratches all over and such but i dont care about that as long as they function good)
  18. either fish deep water or shady spots but really i would be hitting other species right now till the weather gets cooler...so many diff fish out there that love the heat why not try something besides bass
  19. i dont even clean my reels let alone lube them before or after i use them....i buy reels that can hold up to my abuse right out of the box no maint needed and if it cant hold up to my abuse then i move on to a diff reel
  20. i would give it back also BUT if it was the other way around i wouldnt expect it back or get mad if someone didnt give it.....i lost the lure and obviously i wasnt able to get it back so if they didnt get it i still wouldnt have gotten it back
  21. really the only thing that will keep from going fishing is right before a hurricane comes...like the day before it hits i will never go fishing...not sure if its the same for everyone but wow on these days i have never even gotten a hit...i think it might have something to do with the barometer but i havent figured it out yet
  22. i believe the tide changes are about 1 hour off everyday...great post about moon phases...in salt water i like to fish the best when the moon is the closest to the earth..but for bass fishing to me it really doesnt matter cause most of my bass fishing spots arent tidal anyway
  23. i only pay attention to the harvest moon and the full moon.....harvest moon has been excellent fishing every year for me and full moons are awesome for snapper fishing
  24. should check out the yo-zuri banana boat top waters if you can find them(not sure if they still sell them or not) best top water i have ever used and walks the dog pretty excellent
