  1. This! With the discount code mentioned above, the Dobyns Fury ends up being $72 with free shipping. That’s a steal! I would either call Dobyns to see which rod they recommend for your situation, or you can check out the Dobyns website.
  2. I don’t have the Thunder but I have 9 other ALX rods and love them all. Contact Alex (the owner) and I’m sure he will be more than happy to help and answer any questions you may have. I had tons of questions and contacted him multiple times and he was a pleasure to deal with.
  3. Sufix 832 in lime is on all my reels
  4. I use 1/2 oz for Red Eye Shads and Rat L traps but love 5/8 oz in Yozuri Rattlin Vibes and 6th Sense Quakes/Thuds. Yo Zuri makes a small 2.25” size but is also 3/8 oz. So with the smaller profile and heavier weight, you can launch it a mile.
  5. 733 is a good choice but not the end all be all. Sooner or later you will probably want a 734 too so might want to let the monkey know. You can cover a lot of techniques with those 2 rods. All depends what you like to throw.
  6. I went from St Croix Premiers to Dobyns Furys. One of the biggest differences like others have mentioned, is the balance. All of the St Croix I have felt was so tip heavy. Something I never noticed till I started using the Furys. Fishing the Furys felt so much better and natural. Another big thing is their power rating. St croix’s premier medium is like a Fury medium-heavy. I think in that price range, the Furys is a better bang for your buck.
  7. Thanks, I appreciate the info. I don’t know what I am going to do with 1,200 but for $9 why not...haha.
  8. What size did you get? I just mine in. 1,200 for $9. I went with the medium and wondering if I should have gone with the small (for 8-15 lb).
  9. Anyone know why they changed locations to Lake Athens?
  10. Defoe was on fire. He definitely put on a clinic at the end. What I didn’t understand is that with I think 30-45 minutes left, MDJ still had the lead and they showed him changing location. I’m not a tournament guy but that seemed extremely risky to me.
  11. I believe the sale ends April 1st. Question is how much your Cabelas had in stock and how much they have left. My Bass Pro had tons left.
  12. Stopped at our Bass Pro in Vegas and they had limited colors available. Employee said it was the only colors sent to them. No chartreuse black back in either size. 5/8 oz only available in Foxy Mama and Tennessee shad. 1/2 oz were available in Rayburn, Foxy, Tennessee and Citrus. I bought 5 of each color except the Citrus.
  13. Just got some of these. Excited to try it!
  14. My late Grandpa recommended us spitting on live worms when I was a kid. Until this day I spit on all my plastics/lures etc as a way to honor to him.
  15. Does anyone own the Edge in 3600 size? It’s seems a lot shallower than standard 3600 especially in the front row. Im one of those guys that like to put multiple lures in one slot. In my current standard 3600s, I can fit 3-4 lipless cranks (red eye shade/rat l traps) in one slot. I have 12 slots. Can anyone tell me if it’s the same with the Edge 3600? Thanks in advance.
  16. I have a couple and I have Ned TRDs as trailers. I have used baby Pit bosses too.
  17. I just purchased the Gamamkatsu backpack and it’s the probably my favorite so far. Extremely well made. I have probably gone through at least 10 backpacks looking for one that fits my specific needs. Besides the Gamakatsu, here are some other suggestions that have not been mentioned. Just in case other people may be looking for a backpack. Some are advertised as fishing backpacks some are not... - Samurai Tactical Fishing backpack - Samurai Tactical Hanzo - Samurai Tactical Wakizashi - SOG Ninja Tactical daypack - Spyderwire Fishing backpack - High Sierra backpacks - Ugly Stik tackle backpack - Red Gill backpack - Flambeau Portage backpack - Tackle Warehouse Angler backpack - Plano E Series
  18. I used to have a lot of success in multiple ponds with the KVD 1.0. For me lipless cranks are way more versatile though. I use tons of different brands and only get snagged occasionally. Out of curiosity, what lipless cranks are you throwing that cost $10-$15?
  19. Ordered a Tatula SV from them before and no problems. Shipping was fast too.
  20. I own a couple Tatula SVs and love them. Most I have paid for one brand new is $150. I also have couple of the Tatula CTs and it’s a great real and can be found in the $90 range.
  21. - Costa Reefton green mirror - Costa Reefton silver mirror - Costa Blackfin green mirror All in 580p
  22. Just wanted to say that I been loving this box and hope they come out with a 3600 version! It would be perfect for us bank anglers.
