It's Over. Top Baits of the Year.
This is fun. Most productive baits were a Perch Popmax, brown CL8 Mighty Mouse, and 6" Fat Roboworm in Pumpkin Punisher. Big fish of 5 and change came on a Bullfrog Launch Frog. Caught a couple north of 4 on the Popmax. Largest drop shot fish was on a 4.5" Margarita Mutilator curly tail. Missed a *giant* on the Mouse. Came straight up out the water like Shark Week. Getting into larger rats but not as productive yet.

American Legacy Fishing
Bought from them for years with no issues. Had Legacy Elite for a year and that was fine but it was during 2021 so nothing good was ever in stock. Couple years back bought a reel that was in stock but never shipped. No communication until I badgered them. Backorder took months but eventually I got it. Stopped after that. Too many other stores to deal with it. Hope the new business gets back to its old ways.

my first Spiral Wrapped rod arrived today.
My Valkyrie is LH spiral wrapped. I like it a lot. No tip wrap with braid.

What is the most expensive lure you've lost?
This year has been OK, knock on wood. Hung an SV3 on a stump first time out. Couple Teckel frogs lately. Nothing over $20. I usually blow through Magdrafts in Spring. Keitech jigs postspawn. I have a Duo 110 pencil that's been bit off three times. Swam for it twice.

The latest sale thread
TY. Got the Halloween shirt and enough Bellows Gills to last til snow.. Which is hopefully not soon.

Replacing Fluorocarbon Line
Usually after a bad snag or backlash; you can tell when it needs to go. Otherwise Sniper lasts a long time.

My Algorithm Telling Me To Be Careful
I have a chunk out of my sunglasses where a football jig hit. Eye protection is mandatory.

Another Question on Jigs
I lose a lot of Keitech footballs, for whatever reason. Other jigs not so much; maybe one or two a month. I have a couple Siebert jigs that are a decade old. 1/4 oz brush, Junebug with the purple head. Always shell out for wire tied.

Defective Zillion, Japan Lure Shop No Reply
It's lawless with the carriers right meow. Customs is worse. It's a bad time to order from overseas.

My first NRX+ and Metanium MGL reel
Football jigs.

Big Gabot MB Frog is worth paying more. Anyone else agree?
Pike love them unfortunately. I throw a Gavacho more often.

What high end item is worth the extra cost?
Boga Grip

Whats your go to baits/lures? I'm lost on what to use and do when I can't catch fish.
Drop shot. 6" Roboworm -> 4" Roboworm -> Go Home.

Alternative to Zoom Flukes?
Megabass Sling Shad. Expensive but not too bad. RI Shiver Glide is my favorite. Harder to find in stock. Heavy and a bit larger than most soft jerkbaits.

6th Sense Bodega
IDK what possessed me to buy the 3.5" first, but I did. It is TINY. Glides well on a Free Rig. Needs some scent. All the 6th sense plastics have kind of a blah smell to them.

Reel for Punching 1oz+
Spool is fast. Good braid reel. I struggled with mine using 16 - 18 lb fluoro. With 60 lb FX2, it's a rocket launcher. It does not hold as much line as you might expect though.

Reel for Punching 1oz+
Bantam. Winch, even in the 8 gear.

Favorite lure to throw
There's nothing like a jig bite.

St. Croix Legend X2
They're also using graphene in the blank, like the Chrome Soft ball. It's kinda neat.
-
St. Croix Legend X2
OH they put a Super Stroke on there. That's probably comfortable.

St. Croix Legend X2
I mean, jokes aside, I am interested in the design philosophy. St Croix went from classic, full grip designs to some pretty off the wall choices. I'd really like to see an SCVII blank with a full grip and an ECS seat.

Curado 150 M setup
I'm going to give Shimano credit; these newer MGL spools are fast and good.

T-wing fatigue
Maybe ten years ago, but now the Twing reels are plenty comfortable to palm. Also it's not like the OG Steez frame was narrow.
