  1. Yeah these look good. I'll have a couple 3600's when they're readily available.
  2. Yuuup. I part time at a mom and pop store for a different hobby and the tariffs are killing them. Paint comes from Japan or Spain, though there are a couple US companies now. 1/72 comes from England or the Ukraine. Your best enamel weathering products? Spain. 28mm wargaming? UK. Not even going to start on scale model kits. You can't just "BUY USA" when the option doesn't exist.
  3. I split two reels on my jerkbait/topwater rod. Tatula 80 which is a bomber with 12 lb fluoro and a Zillion with braid. I like but don't love the Zillion. This could be a job for the new Curado 150.
  4. Yeah it was a one day ish thing.
  5. I have concerns about Tatsu being a little too soft but if the Sniper is holding up, it'll probably be fine.
  6. Whatever you buy, buy bulk spools on sale. I still haven't tried Tatsu. I will think about switching my 16 lb Sniper out for 15 lb when the bulk spool runs out.
  7. I'll shake and hop a straight tail or drag and swim a curly tail.
  8. My MBA can beat up your MBA. Kidding. Mine is in HR. They asked if I wanted to make money with mine and I was like LOL no thank you. I work for a tier one supplier and you can imagine what that's been like since Jan 1.
  9. Shhh they'll hear you.
  10. So first off, ignore pros unless you're trying to be one. You can pay attention to Feider though because he's hilarious. Swindle too. Second, it does matter what line; the degree though is up for debate. I'm pretty sure this forum is partly, if not wholly, responsible for Big Game's market share. This post is lighthearted.
  11. I'm sure you're tracking JLS too but they're what I check daily for a variety of things. JPAngler too. Or you could just buy the Evoluzion oneten stick. Great idea. Everyone says so. 🐒
  12. Ryugi hooks are crazy sharp. Stuck myself really good on a couple of these RPZ punch rigs.
  13. I kind of agree, but you could also make a big walking bait and a 1/2 oz bladed jig work on the same rod. Rod preferences for bladed jigs are all over the place.
  14. 6'10 Adrena from the previous generation. I tend to throw larger fluke style baits with a 4/0 superline hook on a MH or H rod; 73 MH Adrena, Enox BMJ, Super Destroyer, etc.
  15. Fluorocarbon, 14 or 16 lb Sniper depending on cover, is my usual. I try to save braid for frogging and true punching. You can fish lighter floating vegetation with straight fluoro and a Jika pretty well. CXX is an option if you don't care for braid and want something that doesn't sink into the vegetation so quickly.
  16. I'm holding out for MGL IV, where the Curado fights Dolph Lundgren.
  17. Usually just fine. Mono doesn't do that thing that braid does sometimes where it just decides to catch on itself and stop dead.
  18. That's nice Cabelas, if a bit small.
  19. Or with the blade attached. 5/0 weighted pierce is my hook of choice. The Owner should be fine. 6/0 Beast is a bit large but it works.
  20. Braid to whatever leader you like. I've tried several nylon lines for topwater and they all sort of take on water, dragging the bait under on a long cast. Armilo was the best of the bunch. If you're bombing a walking bait, braid is the only thing I've found that keeps the lure fishable throughout the entire cast. It's also easier to get good, solid hook penetration at the end of a cast.
  21. Daiwa had supply issues with the larger sizes this year. My order has been "released" but I haven't seen a shipping notice yet.
  22. Thats probably a killer pitching rod though.
  23. Ah yes, the lovely town of Michigan, South Korea.
  24. Buy Daiwas. Put them on Shimanos. Profit. Or catch fish. Or both.
  25. I'm pretty sure you could spool your weed whacker with 20 lb Red Label.
