  1. Id consider murky to be stained which is what usually happens after turnover.
  2. Senko /thread
  3. That rod company is banned for spamming the forum and pushy pro staff trying to boost sales.
  4. Its likely a certificate for a boat. Suppose he could take it to a dealer and pick a floor model, or buy straight from production line so it could be a while before we see the boat.
  5. Daiwa has standardized and industrialized their product. Basicallylly same rod. A couple differences like an extra blank feature and upgraded components. If money wasnt a factor id say go with the Z, but the extra money would be better off in the reel so go with the T.
  6. I cast it all the time. Pitch it mostly to laydowns. I tend to spin myself out when I try to do something different with dropshot. I keep it simple. Nosehooked roboworm and 18 inch leader with 3/16 weight. Caught numbers and size with it. Craziest I get is wacky rigging a stickworm with a heavier weight.
  7. I take 4 rods with me as coangler...and honestly I only ever use 2 sometimes 3.
  8. Cool videos. Will have to follow.
  9. 1 dollar tungsten? Like finding oil in your back yard!
  10. Elite 3x for kayak. Does a good job in any light conditions and easy to use.
  11. For me its Daiwa, but I do want to try phenix some time
  12. You got a steal
  13. Some days it matters some day it doesnt. Music has never affected my bites
  14. 7'11 deep cranker to handle baits that go 20+ feet
  15. Sunline reaction 12lb Small diameter, abrasion resistent, good stretch, and low memory that casts a mile.
  16. I dont get that line of thinking. I throw mine with a trailer hook through dying lily pad fields and thick laydowns without issue. You just gotta finesse it.
  17. Ill look into the GT knot thanks.
  18. Small sunfish are silverish as well as LMB. Most places also have minnows.
  19. Copoly with alberto. I have my heavy rods spooled with braid for the weedy lakes but feel i need copoly or flouro for the clear lake i fish. I could buy extra spools and switch out but daiwa 1016 spools are pricey.
  20. Another benefit of a trailer hook is that even if it shakes the main hook you have the trailer to keep him pinned.
  21. Where are you located. What lake
  22. I understand the purpose of leaders especially for spinning gear which I always use. However I had a knot failure yesterday from leader to main line on a hookset. Fishing at night in 35 degree temps for one bite and my knot fails. The knot held up to a few fish last weekend and I didnt notice any issues with it. Perhaps it got weak from dragging riprap or popping through weeds. But why take that chance? I prefer to topshot my line and not worry about extra knots. What's your take?
  23. Always It wont get hung up unless you are careless and slowly jimmy it into grabbing wood or throw it in a tree.
  24. I have the 90 and i can throw it on 12lb flouro. Thing is, the 90 is half an ounce which means you gotta reel it fairly quickly to keep it off bottom. The 80 will maintain depth better
