  1. Awesome!! Looks like I'm gonna get a frog jig and creature rod.
  2. 7' med veritas is a great all around rod
  3. Just one caveat on "heavy" rods. Not all are created equal, one company's mh might be the equivalent of another company's heavy. Also some heavy rods are absolute broom sticks. The heaviest rods I own are a st croix mh, and abu garcia mh, both are known for having a little more power than other rods. I use both of them for frogs and can't think of many times when I feel like I need more.
  4. I really like the original Zara spook and rebel mag pop-r
  5. Not sure how much they go for exactly but abu cardinals are somewhere around 30$
  6. Here's my dummy scaring the fish away
  7. I would get a cheap spinning combo for 50-60$, then spend the rest on a mh casting, a bass pro PQ and a st croix triumph should run you around 180
  8. If Walmart is still selling the abu vendettas cheap I would get one of those
  9. They just redid the fishing at the DSG near my house too, I picked up a couple cavitrons today.
  10. go to google, type in "where is chuck norris" and click I'm feeling lucky.
  11. cranks, lipless cranks, squarebills, jerkbaits, pretty much any lure with trebles thats fished below the surface. Most of the places that I fish are so over run with weeds that they always get hung up, and if i do find a place thats relatively clear I dont know how to fish them effectively
  12. If you like the veritas rods you'll like the veracity. I have one matched with a revo rocket and it's the lightest best balanced combo I own, it honestly feels like I'm holding a feather. That being said it is the shortest rod I own at 6'6", most of my other rods are 6'8 or 7'. I only fished with is for about a month or so before all the water froze so I feel like I would be doing a disservice to anyone giving a full review. But like I said earlier if you are familiar with the veritas rods and like them then you will enjoy the veracity.
  13. My favorite spinning is st croix, casting I don't really have one I don't feel like I've used enough out there yet. I picked up a kistler over the winter can't wait to use it, I also want to give dobyns and loomis a shot this year too.
  14. I've never seen that, but I have had a hawk swoop down and take a freshly released bass about 30ft from my boat.
  15. I didn't get one until high school, I was maybe 15-16. I think that once your child gets to the age when they start going out with friends it would be nice to have a cell phone. At least when they have a cell phone you know you can always reach them, and they can reach you if they need to.
  16. When I was in high school I got by on a couple of quantum spinning combos, didn't have any complaints.
  17. Isn't New Hampshire the capital of Boston or something?
  18. I use a at croix avid 6'8" mxf
  19. I have a vendetta, veritas, veracity, and villain. They're all different powers and lengths so it's not really apples to apples. The villain IMO are not worth the money. The veracity is my favorite, it's the lightest and best balanced, then again the one I have is 6'6". I've gotten them all at discount prices. I think the veritas is a good rod for 100$. I've only used the veracity for topwater and moving baits so I can't really speak for it's sensitivity but I would buy another one.
  20. Flukes and tubes
  21. Some people will leave comments under the picture tab
  22. Great app, I used it a lot last year. Some people will post some real obscure spots and tell you how to access them.
  23. I've been using a mh vendetta with a lews tournament mg. most mh or h will do the trick
  24. If you got a mh veritas it will handle frogs just fine
  25. I've heard a lot about yuengling and finally got to try it while visiting a friend in PA. It was pretty good. I usually drink harpoon
