  1. Not sure how you feel about kayaks but the ocean kayak torque has a built in trolling motor, might be a good alternative for what you're looking for.
  2. Awesome. Thanks for the help
  3. Just got a used bass tender 10.2 and I'm trying to wiring everything up. The inline fuses are missing so I looked it up in the manual and it calls for a 50A fuse. The fuse holder only fits 1/4 x 1 1/4" fuses, and the only 50A fuses I can find are 15/32 by 1 1/2". The only inline fuse connectors I can find are rated up to 30A max. Do they make 1/4" 50A fuses Do they make 50A inline fuse connectors Does anyone have any alternatives For now I can just clip the motor onto the battery directly but I would like to have the boat wired up. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Hit some small ponds in melrose yesterday, still skunk city for this guy
  5. That's good to hear, I got one coming in the mail My most versatile rod is a med veritas spinning
  6. I'm from MA, didn't even know about low profile baitcasters until I moved to California.
  7. Don't remember the name of the color off the top of my head, but the original Zara spook black with the white markings on it like ribs. Also any topwater with an orange dot on the bottom of it
  8. Anyone ever fish deer island
  9. Bill dance baitcast combo from bass pro. That being said it was the combo I attempted to learn bait casting on, so that may have had something to do with it
  10. Awesome, thanks for the tips
  11. Anyone do any salt fishing. I just moved to east boston and would like to start going for stripers and blues, but honestly I don't know a thing about salt fishing. Anyone got any tips, like what kind of rod to use, lures, what am I looking for?
  12. They've taken back used reels for me, but you might want to check if there is a time limit on returns/exchanges
  13. Lews baitcasters are pretty small compared to most others, also a 50 size shimano
  14. Happy birthday I like throwing frogs into pads. If there are pockets in the pads cast past the pocket then walk the frog through the pocket. I generally fish frogs pretty slow too.
  15. I use a st croix 6'8" mxf for pretty much any plastic, usually unweighted.
  16. Anyone ever try the owner tube hook, is it any different than a normal jig head
  17. That's some expensive line to learn on, I'd stick with mono for now. When I was learning I was cutting out backlashes left and right
  18. Maybe I'll give it a shot flipping jigs, beer had much luck with them before but I have a boat this year so maybe I can use them more effectively
  19. The Colorado blades didn't feel good at all on the rocket even going as slow as I could.
  20. My bps seems to have a steady supply of righty but no lefties
  21. It's great for buzzbaits, I didn't use too many chatterbaits on it. But for double Colorado blade spinners it felt like too much
  22. Top water is what I've been using it but honestly it doesn't do it any better than a 6 or 7 gear ratio I'm gonna give it a shot with lipless cranks and square bills when it starts getting warmer, see if "slow rolling" it with the rocket is any better than burning it with a slower reel
  23. Ya I picked one up on a total impulse buy. It's just like other abu reels but red and faster. Still trying to figure out when to use it
  24. Lucky, i ordered one during the bps trade in, still waiting for them to get it in stock
