  1. Got a brown trout today trolling with a kvd 1.5 squarebill out of a kayak. No pics, left my phone in the car
  2. Look for the old green curados, I've seen them on sale for about 130 at dicks. I just picked up a daiwa tatula for 150 that I think fishes well above it's price range, however it has magnetic brakes and I feel that centrifugal brakes are more user friendly. Tight lines and semper fi
  3. Got this little guy today, it's a pretty bad pic but is it a smallie?
  4. I would throw braid on one of the reels for frogs
  5. 3rd period comeback. They can't blow this at home.
  6. Got two hits off topwater today, only landed one little bass. I'll post a pic in the who wants in thread
  7. Found an Ocean Kayak trident 13 on CL with a rudder, anchor, fish finder and battery for 1000$. I'm going to check it out this weekend. For you kayakers out there do you think this is a fair price?
  8. I just got the zolo b 7'1" mh about a month ago and I love it so far. I can't really compare it to other rods in the price range because I have them in other lengths and powers.
  9. Great fish guys. Hopefully I'll be on the board soon
  10. No bass today but got a few rainbows
  11. Get some corn or bread and catch one, they're an awesome fish to fight.
  12. The only reason I didn't like the chronarch is because I found it awkward to hold, although mechanically I think it's one of the better reels I've used
  13. No I haven't. I remember I found a purple alphas on ebay that looked pretty good, I regret not pulling the trigger. I have my zillion on a mh, spooled up with braid.
  14. My zillion is hands down my favorite reel out of the ones I have.
  15. Awesome fish, you've been killing it this year. So far I've got one LMB one rainbow and one pickerel.
  16. I use a folding wood measuring tape, also maybe a cheap small measuring tape
  17. Awesome fish. Never fished the quabbin before, but it's on my list this year along with wachusett
  18. St croix ml are rated up to 1/2 oz and have a lot more play than their mediums. Not sure if it's what you're looking for but check it out
  19. St croix 6'8" mxf, 7mf, or 6'6/7'ml in whatever series you can afford. If you already have a spinning reel just slap it on your new rod with some braid.
  20. So who's going out at midnight to kick this bad Larry off
  21. I wouldn't say 35 is too big, it's a pretty reasonably sized reel and the wider spool would probably be more beneficial for mono/flouro. The pflueger 30 size is the goldilocks reel for me though, got one spool with 6lb mono for trout and the other with 20lb braid for bass.
  22. As long as you got one in killer gill you're good. I throw all 3 in the slop, I tend to throw the popper in more open water.
  23. I agree either if these sizes will work, I have both but prefer the 30 size
  24. The ocean kayak torque comes with a trolling motor. One of the guys I work with has one and likes it a lot.
