  1. If you are dealing with space constraints such as in a 2 man boat or while on shore, my best advice is instead of the 12 oclock to 6 oclock jerk, i would recommend more of like a 10 to 4. I think it allows you to move the bait more efficiently with limited space.
  2. Thanks for the heads up! I was looking to buy 2 LTBs.
  3. Got my box from 5fishlimit. All great stuff! - rage tail craws and toads, flappin hogs, tubes, war eagle spinnerbait. Nice selection of some quality baits right there. Thanks Dan!
  4. Can't decide between 12 or 14 pound Trilene. Cheap, effective, and handles most situations I fish well. I would probably keep a spool of Braid on a flipping/frogging setup but that would be the one exception. I think mono has done a superb job for me so far and I haven't felt a need to switch to some other more expensive lines yet. To me it works so I am not messing with it. For spinning gear I would probably stick with 6-8lb mono or maybe even 10lb power pro. Don't using my spinning rods as much so I can't give you a definite answer on that one.
  5. You nailed it Darren. I still have the same ned rig (1/2 zinker on a jighead) on one of my spinning rods that I tied on I think in September. That elaztech is awesome. The more they get chewed up the better action they seem to have as well. The only down side of the elaztech is that you have to be careful putting them in a tackle bag when it is really hot outside or they can melt. They can also melt if you mix them in a bag with other plastics. Other than that, they are incredible in how long they last.
  6. If you like fishing the 3" senko on a jighead, I would strongly recommend the zman zinkerz. Just buy a pack of the regular sized ones and cut them in half. You can superglue them to your jighead and the one bait will last you for DAYS. Super durable and will save you tons of money if you are buying senkos. They are super supple too and have great action.
  7. This pic showed up on my facebook feed today. Posted by HawTech. I was like "Hey, I've seen that guy before!" Nice work Dwight
  8. Mike must have benched that conversation... Just like Washington benched RG3! Ha!
  9. Was this in Missouri?
  10. I'd like to get in on this!
  11. You could lube them up with megastrike to help them glide through the weeds.
  12. Yes I agree about the weight. The heavier weights and punching techniques seem to be newcomers.
  13. Where/ what kind of lake are you fishing. Jerkbaits, Arigs, jigs, lipless cranks, dt10s all could be good.
  14. Sorry for your loss...
  15. Yeah, I agree. I always think you should stay where you caught a bass just to see if there are more around.
  16. Boulevard Pop-Up Session IPA. - Good Stuff.
  17. You make some good looking stuff Bluebasser. Off topic, but do you make your own mushroom ned heads and sell them by chance?
  18. People put up their rods in the winter in California? If there wasn't any ice I don;t think i would stop fishing. Heck even when there is ice I don't stop.
  19. Yeah, I don't think ID'ing the weeds are that important, just knowing how the bass relate to it is what you need to figure out.
  20. Don't know until you try buddy.
  21. Yeah I love my TP, I think it will handle your heavy baits well, but also give you the option to do more diverse things as well better than some of the other reels.
  22. Yeah the more I try the more I start to think like you Raul.
  23. Im not really that picky, but black blue is my favorite.
