I know little about the collector/resale market for duck stamps ....but I just did a bit of googling and it looks like http://www.shduck.com is something of a big player in buying and selling duck stamps. If it were me, I'd talk with them.

Maybe call the manufacturer. I have Noco Genius that I use for both full size and kayak size 12v batteries. I sent a note to the manufacturer with questions and they wrote back same day. My Noco charger has a mode called 'Small' and it works perfectly for both charging and maintaining. Better yet, it has paid for itself because my batteries last much longer now. I got it from Amazon

I use 'Photo & Picture Resizer' app on my phone. Free and very easy to use.

I have never handled a Shimano rod, so I'm not much help. But, wanted to mention that after TONS of recommendations for Kistler Helium, I bought one a couple months ago and absolutely love it. I have MH and H jig rods from 6'11 to 7'4" and don't have a length preference in that range.

I learned it in the Navy. Not just vinegar, but concentrated bug juice, too! (Bug juice was sorta like cruddy, very sugary, Kool Aid.) In fact, I still use vinegar to clean my bird baths...and a capful in the birdbath water to keep the green at bay a couple extra weeks

You're correct. Ty. I will get the hang of it...just a little panicky at first. Got it up and down twice yesterday (upside down) without too much difficulty. (Windy day, though and it wasn't pretty yet.) No fish yesterday, but good 4+ hours of acclimation. My hips and hamstrings are cursing me today.

The 5 limit is a bit arbitrary, but I can very much appreciate trying to simplify. I suggest considering some flexibility in your plans. For example, no reason not to carry some shaky heads, and light worm weights for use on your spinning rod. And a chatterbait that can be thrown in place of the spinnerbait....in fact if I had to pick just one, I'd probably ditch the spinnerbaits. I think you'd be doing yourself a huge disservice if you aren't prepared to throw 6-10 inch worms. I love jigs and use them year round in most waters...you can usually throw them on same rig as the trig worms....but if forced to choose, I'd probably have to pick worms over jigs. Frog would be critical for me but only in certain waters at certain times....it is always fun, but there are rare occasions when every bite only comes from the pads and slop.

Spent all of one windy day on Watauga in kayaks a couple years ago. Only got a couple spots ...but such a beautiful lake....would love to get back.

I have four WPs with exactly one fish total on them. But....I should add that I have never caught a fish on a buzzbait. For no reason that I can figure, most of the waters I fish are not much good for topwater outside of frogs/toads in slop and pads.

After studying for months I bought a Hobie Compass. But today was my first day on it, so not much experience to offer. The other final contender was Jackson Coosa FD, but I cartop, so lighter Hobie won out. I really like how the Jackson FD pops up when you hit something and the way the prop pulls up flush to the hull easily. The Hobie fins worked well in the shallows today, but it will take a bit of getting used to. I got the 180 drive and switching between forward and reverse is very easy, but as mentioned above, you do have to switch back and forth with a pull-cable. If I had a trailer in mind, I probably would have gotten the Jackson.

I looked at trailers, but didn't find any that are small enough to man handle around to back of town house and fit through gate and in tiny backyard; and still sturdy enough for confidence on highway. I worked at it yesterday for a couple dry runs. It wasn't pretty, but for now, upside down is the way to go. I'm disappointed in the the side 'handles'....all the handles for that matter. Wildy has spoiled me ..lol. @KDW96, I think you may be on to a potential solution....an attached cushion around the rudder so I can lift up on stern without worry would be real nice...assuming I can do that reliably with the handles. Hope to get more practice today since the weather may allow a shakedown cruise.

Went and bought a Hobie Compass yesterday. Already struggling with loading. I have been loading kayaks on SUVs for years with no problems. I put the bow on the back of the car and slide the kayak up into the racks. However, the Compass is the first yak I have had with a rudder fixed underneath...the rudder doesn't stow on top. I can no longer rest back of yak on the ground and just lift bow into the back of the SUV. I may try same method with the yak upside down, but even that may damage the rear handle. Any suggestions?

What fun just planning such a trip! I would look at stopping at Alma on the way to Mille Lac and hit the Mississippi. I would certainly run up to the border and chase walleye and trophy northerns...probably on Rainy Lake. I would see what @A-Jayis doing and if he's free for a day or two, come around the top of Lake Michigan. I would drop down and spend a couple days in Dandrige TN to fish Douglas for bass and crappie. I'd consider stopping at South Holston Lake, if only because of recent report from @everythingthatswims. Could be the trip of a lifetime.

It 'helps' that I smoke cigars in my car, so I almost always leave the windows cracked..... to air it out....I like to think that it never quite gets to the temp at which Power Pro might melt

Weather's still good enough for fishing, but the markets are getting started, too.

I've rented a boat at Brittle, but had to take out a second mortgage. Never saw any snakeheads, but I did see a couple different points with bucket men tearing up the crappies. I've only caught one snakehead from shore, but caught plenty within casting distance of a bank. If I HAD to catch a snakehead from shore, I'd head to Pohick. I've caught an awful lot of snakeheads in Gunston Cove. There's some trails (improved and otherwise) to bank spots away from the main park waterfront. Frogs work....but so does everything else that might catch a bass....I catch a lot on Cut-R's...but, that might be because I throw Cut-R's a LOT

I keep mine outside. Under a cheap tarp. Its gotten so that I don't worry much about temp extremes here for much of anything. I keep much of my fishing gear in the car year round. I keep our yaks in the yard (or on top of the car for weeks at a time.) About the only things I pay attention to as far as temps is that I bring JJ's Magic in the house during the summer; and I bring KVD line condition inside during winter. Never had any problem with Goop or putty seals in the kayak. I think I installed the transducers in my and my wife's yaks three seasons ago. I have reseated hers once....pretty sure mine is still the original seating.
