Agree with @J Francho, but you may not see demo days for next 5-6 months. Sitting in them in the store may feel a bit silly, but there can be some value in it. I think used or demos are likely to be your best bet. Getting two different makes/models will allow you both to find out faster what features are important to you. I have noticed apparently great deals in a few different Facebook forums in last couple years.

Condescension is my middle name. I also answer to Boorish and Mr. Sarcasm. However, in this case, I think my tone/message were misinterpreted. My 'Why' question was intended to be a useful one for the OP. He seems to have arrived at an answer (make some sort of video) without knowing what his questions are. I think that until he has a vision of what he wants, he'll struggle for content, format, message, etc. The process and product would naturally vary greatly depending on his goal(s.) For those who already know their 'why', I'd like to think I'd not knock them for doing what's important to them. (Though I might razz over my judgements as to quality and/or content.) You, for example, clearly have a purpose beyond "I want to put something on the interwebs" - you take pride in your product; you clearly get pleasure out of putting them together and sharing them; and MANY here appreciate it. So, I wasn't knocking the idea of creating content. Just (poorly?) suggesting that vision, and introspection may be necessary to figure out where he'd like to get and then get him there.

Supposed to be some in Brittle and Orange, but in three trips to each, I never saw one. I generally get my fix most years in Ontario or Wisconsin, but if I was hankering for some eyes right now, from what I've heard and read, I'd head for New River, Claytor or Deep Creek. I'm fairly ignorant on the subject, but as I read through all the posts in this thread, I sorta figured this would likely be the case. How many bass youtubers are really good sticks AND successful on the YT thingy? It is such a miniscule number that you almost have to choose to be popular or be good, I'd think After a couple pages, I still haven't understood this either....Why? Once you can answer that, the answers to your other questions will become clearer....so ....fame? fortune? altruistic desire to share some unique knowledge or talent? vanity? what do you want out of it and what are you willing to put into it? I know. Sorry my sarcasm is lost on you. I figured your two previous threads should be enough. I'm sending good thoughts that you make a decision without needing a fourth thread. Or get both. Everybody needs at least two jig/worm rods. In fact I just ordered my 6th.....funny..I just realized its the 6th different brand

I do not have one. I only ever had one Cabelas rod, but it was a Tournament Trail. My tongue in cheek reply didn't say that there are 55 brands of rods just at TW alone; and I'd likely never buy a rod that I thought would be a problem, no matter what the good folks here tell me. Faith in warranties can be a distraction....as @Team9ninesaid, true defects will appear quickly and long rod warranties can be overrated

I've used Glide-And-Set for years. Didn't know they're discontinued. Bought a new set off Craigslist for about 1/2 retail. Not sure what I'd use now....quite possibly those Dockgrips. I'll be watching this thread for other options, as I probably won't get more than one more season out of mine. My wife's got a Hullivator, but due to back issues, she probably won't launch/load alone anymore....maybe I'll re-appropriate the Hullivator...its a real slick option, but pretty pricey

Took a few years, but family knows not to try to buy me fishing stuff...except for maybe a few very specific items, such as HUK shirts or Columbia fishing pants.....anything else and we're both likely to be disappointed...me when I open it...them when they see through my fake thankful smile

I assume you've looked into cross bars? I've used Thule, Yakima and two different off-brands. One of the no-names was awesome....one was flimsy. Once you've got cross bars, you have lots of options....from pool noodles to expensive racks

Doesn't take much at all. 15# braid (and less) is always a leader knot risk, especially with any wind. You have to be anally diligent when trimming your tag ends.

Most days, I tie on a Rage Bug and forget that there are other baits.

Haven't worn slippers for probably 40 years....feet sweat in all I ever had. I wear 'slide sandals' year round; indoors and out, however. Nike and Addidas have been best for me as far as comfort and durability.
