  1. Getting to be time to break out the Silver Buddies!
  2. All too often I find myself walking back from the mailbox shaking my head and muttering, "What was i thinking?!?"
  3. Too bad he didn't catch it in a retention pond instead of the Allegheny River.....
  4. I can't find it either, but I know there are a number of threads with good charts and/or explanations....like this good post from RW that I found in the wayback machine and this pic Dwight posted a few months back:
  5. Fish are evil. Even small ones take my lures and stick them into trees, rocks, stems, etc. I knew I couldn't be the only one
  6. I thought Ish and Ike both went over
  7. My first reaction, too. But, I had the same first reaction to donkey rig, jika, niko, whopper, sprinkler frogs, ned rigs, chicken rigs, rats and a dozen other things....check out the other active thread about c-rigging crankbaits....sometimes I feel old...lol
  8. http://www.another site.com/news_article/3511/hyper-muscle-deep:-t-rig-cold-cranking lol...I guess that site is verboten... google "hyper muscle deep t rig cold cranking" and google will take you there just the same
  9. Is that right after you said, "We're going fishing this afternoon" ?
  10. Maybe this is it
  11. The only problem I have with that is I use rod socks on every rod and that is an invitation to problems with hooks in socks.
  12. Not sure if you'll find info that will be real specific to your situation, but there's some good bank fishing threads the past few years that you might find some helpful nuggets in: https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/203719-how-do-you-fish-from-the-bank/?tab=comments#comment-2282830
  13. I have nearly identical from TW; Norman Hook Keepers. They work quite well.
  14. I use braid with a leader for...... and to be able to break off hard snags
  15. Haven't caught any white fish yet, but I did see a leucistic cardinal on the lake a week ago. Bright white feathers. No pics....I was fishing....lol
  16. You might also find a way to comfortably reel the line between your fingers. The added benefit of keeping a finger on the line will be increased strike detection.
  17. I don't know how old you are, or anything about your life experiences, @LuffDaddy, so please don't be insulted by my offer of unsolicited advice....but, it took me a lot of years to fully learn and understand, but probably around my mid-30's I came to a stark realization....hit me like a ton of bricks and affected my outlook for the past 20+ years: I do not and will not expend angst, nor energy worrying about the opinions that someone has of me....IF I don't generally respect their opinions. -- It was a bit of a challenge at first, but if I don't like, nor respect someone generally....well, I really don't care much about what they have to say and won't ever get my skivvies bunched about it
  18. actually....not so much....always seems like a more entertaining idea than the reality
  19. Which of you, do you suppose is happier now?
  20. +1! I don't claim to know what exacly happens at the end of 50' of line when I jerk. But I just don't feel confident in the action unless I'm using braid. The mushy feeling at my fingertips may not be the same at the lure, but I feel much better about things with braid or Gliss plus leader.
  21. @Ratherbfishing, getting older sux, don't it? I got home on Saturday after about ten hours on the lake and thought...."Man....fishing didn't use to be work"..lol...got to wondering how pros can do it 4-6 days straight, week in and week out
  22. Haven't used the others, so I can't compare, but I will say that I've been pretty happy with my Gunfish. Extremely easy to walk, but it has seemed a bit more like a dink magnet than a lunker lure.
  23. 1. Tighten the spool tensioner 2. Tighten the brakes 3. Loosen the drag 4. Put the combo in a corner 5. Use your spinning gear
  24. Depends somewhat on how long the wind has been blowing in relatively same direction. If it is 13mph+ AND a change from yesterday, I just find sheltered areas. If the direction has been prevailing for more than a couple days, I'll try to deal with it and work windward shores, points, bays, etc.
