With a casting rod I occasionally see my line move before I feel anything. With a spinning rod, that happens much more often. Now that difference may well be attributed mainly to lure differences, like unweighted flukes and senkos, vice jigs and t-rigs, but I will vote casting anyway. The lines I use are also so different that it makes comparison difficult.

Pack fans have some 49er game demons to exorcize. Fortunately, the young Pack aren't bearing those same scars. They should be coming in loose and playing like there is nothing to lose. Excited to watch these two young QBs. And while I am done with Joe Barry, I hope the D plays like they're trying to keep him around. Pack fans are such a mess...wanting Barry gone, but loving the newly energized defense...lol

Exactly why I am considering taking it off of 'Hard mode'. Sometimes you have to guess a word you know is wrong, but contains all the possible letters.

I don't assume that all of those MIA are not fishing...I would wager that a good number are just not hanging around BR. For a variety of reasons, most active forum participants wander off...been the same in all of the dozen or so forums that I have frequented over the years. Sometimes the forum changes, sometimes the user changes.... Sometimes the forum doesn't change...

Good luck! Not sure I am much help with your specific question. Are you not using any sonar? Are you fishing with CKA? I've fished with them a couple times, but never a full season. Good club. If so, you're looking at a good variety of water this year. I am not nearly as good as a lot of hammers I fish with, but I hold my own the last 5 years largely through productive pre-fishing. Graphing, finding brush piles, structure and weed lines in advance of tournament day is the way I stay competitive and much of that work is with sonar and gps. I'm lousy with a crankbait, so, I don't know.... you might well be able to accomplish much the same prefishing with crankbaits....old school

Didn't seem like the Eagles were a lucky, paper tiger 10-1 team....think 2022 Vikings. Appears the coaches completely lost the locker room. I didn't watch more than an hour or so last night, but I saw no fight, no urgency, especially from the defense. I don't know much about Sirianni, but I think the last few months is a fire-able collapse.

@islandbass, I have tried starting with words like adieu in the past, but my brain works Wordle much better if I maximize consonants first. I mix it up a little with words like plant, or sting, or blast, grand, plant, etc

I believe that streak will be broken without a loss by forgetting to play for a day. I was without a phone for a week and my percentage stayed good, but streak stopped. I also think percentage is rounded, because I'm fairly certain I lost one a while back, but I'm back to 100

Been a fan of Invisx for a few years. I did try a spool of Basicx this year and was pleasantly surprised. Sensitivity and memory are good, but it isn't near as abrasion resistant as Invisx. So, while cheaper, probably more expensive in the long run unless you change out a couple few times a year, anyway.

I probably wasn't going to watch this game, but I am outraged. Peacock doesn't even have a free trial. My bigger concern is that there will be enough people that buy in just for this game that it will be a regular thing, with 5 different games on five different streaming platforms.

Do you use the hover strolling rig jig thing without forward facing sonar? I don't recall a lure/graph combo like this....ever. Hover rig seems to be very much a ffs deal. No doubt it should get bit if you get it near fish regardless of your sonar. But without being able to watch your lure, are there simply better options? Or do you toss a hover out there even w/o ffs? Note, I'm not talking about just any finesse-y minnow-like presentation... I'm considering hover to be 90 degree line tie, light nail (or weighted hook) with small minnow plastic.
