Baby Brush Hogs?
*Good tip Team9nine ! I have tried the Tiny BH on a drop shot (with marginal success) - time to thread a Tiny BH in GP color on my 1/16th #2 size hook mushroom heads attached to my Ned rig outfit .

Slow rolling spinnerbaits late winter / prespawn
Spinnerbait Paddle Tail Swim Bait Trailer Tip : Rig the paddle tail swim bait upside down as this will help keep the spinnerbait down when reeling it back ... Many good replies above !

Best copolymer line
+1 ... Also Yo-Zuri Hybrid line could be added to the mix.

Jerkbait rod recommendations
*Bluebasser86 : I think it's kinda cool that out of all the rods you could have , you chose a Kast King . I take it you have other Kast King rods or at least have some experience with them ?

Single Colorado Blade Spinnerbait For Stained Water ?
*Those small Beetle Spins with a small , single blade Colorado may have been the earlier pioneer to the Ned Rig !
-
Single Colorado Blade Spinnerbait For Stained Water ?
*For reference was using the Booyah web site whereby the 3/8th oz. single Colorado was a #5 while the 1/2 oz. uses a #6. https://www.booyahbaits.com/booyah-single-colorado-blade

Rodman Reservoir

Single Colorado Blade Spinnerbait For Stained Water ?
*I believe as the numbers get higher , so does the size of the spinnerbait blade ? About the largest Colorado blade I have seen easy to obtain was a #7 size Colorado blade . *That's why I went with a 1/2 oz. #6 Single Colorado (even in shallow water) to try so the spinnerbait will run true , stay down and not tilt up on it's side .

Single Colorado Blade Spinnerbait For Stained Water ?
For those that throw a single Colorado spinnerbait - which do you tend to favor : 3/8th oz. #5 Colorado blade or 1/2 oz.#6 Colorado blade for slow rolling ?

Mid-high end finesse/drop shot rod
*There are nice ML Fast / Xtra Fast spinning rods that can double as drop shot rods - then there are drop shot specific spinning rods ... Don't compromise if you truly want a spinning rod ONLY for drop shot !

Screwdrivers for reel maintenance
*Good information - slowly converting my reels to Daiwa ... Now need to find some top rated "how to reel" maintenance you tube videos for basic clean & lube .

Rain , Rain & More Rain - Winter Stained Water Lures ?
With near record setting rainfall this year in Georgia the lakes have become and remain pretty stained up this winter . Comparing notes with local fishing buddies we came up with a target list of lures to focus on for these conditions (stained water , water temps in the low to mid 50's) : 1) . Black & Blue Football Jig / Yum Christie Craw or SK Rage Tail Craw Trailer 2) . Spinner Bait (one to two thumping Colorado gold blades) 3/8th to 3/4th oz. in Black & Blue or White / White - Chartreuse 3) . Scrounger 3/8th to 3/4th oz. White Zoom Super Fluke *Based on the above conditions outlined - what would be your choices you would be throwing ?

What Specs Are Good For A Topwater Rod?
*Sweet write up ! ... Same buzzbait rod could be used for toads as well . Poppers can range in weight from light to fairly large and heavy - ditto for walk-the-dog lures (spooks) which tend to run heavier than poppers .

Fury vs Bass X for rod upgrade
+1 Dobyns 704c. rods in the series your budget allows are well made and a versatile rod power / action .
-
Bought first baitcaster (FuegoCT) - setup, line, out of the box tips?
*Very interesting Fuego CT specific instructions ! ... So for best performance do NOT set the spool tension knob for the lure to slowly fall with the reel stopping when the lure touches down on the floor ? ...Must have something to do with the design of the Daiwa Magforce Z braking / spool start up system design ?

7'6 flipping stick vs 8 '
I would think the Dobyns flipping specific rod would be adequate ... *For a cool flipping video google Canadian Pro Bob Izumi and watch HIS flipping technique - it may change your mind on flipping rod length !
-
Splitshot Rig Baits
+1 ... I was waiting for Tom to chime in . Also the Maxima #5lb. Ultra Green recommendation for finesse apps (such as the slip shot , drop shot, etc.) is money !
-
Super Shallow Crank/Squarebill
+1 ... KVD did it right .
- 8:1:1 Gear Ratio needed, worth getting?
- The Death of the small tackle shop

Knock off Whopper Plopper
+1 River 2 Sea or Berkley - buy on sale or discount.

Favorite Fluke color?
+1 ... These two colors would take you a long way in clear water - if your water has some stain to it OR on an overcast day , a 3rd color in Pearl would be a very good addition .

Counterfeit Seaguar Invizix?
+1 with A-Jay , that can't be factory line from Seaguar as it looks like it was wound on from a small powered line winder ... *From the sister company "See-Gar" in China , this line only used once in the Yellow River for Perch fishing . All kidding aside , Amazon has been known to be bitten by semi - shady suppliers . As large as Amazon is and as fast as they are growing - It's difficult for them to vet all suppliers 100% .
