Next time you drive to Clarksville, you might drive another 10 miles into Kentucky. There is a Cabelas in Louisville, I hear Gander is planning stores as well...
  2. When St. Croix had the triumph made in China, it was a well made rod, great cork, great build quaity, I grabbed a 7' ml spinning to back up my 7' avid ml it was very close to the avid and @ $69 A bargain, rods are now made in Mexico and the quality suffers, at least in build quality, prices are exaggerated as well.
  3. That's funny deaknho3, I got cracked up on that! Kinda like I will when Brady gets his head tore off by Suggs...
  4. Not mine, however I grew up with three sisters, generally they, ( sisters ) seemed to rather enjoy pulling heads off, breaking arms, throwing them across the room, etc.. Pretty much what Suggs, and Dumervil will do to Brady!
  5. The Pat's are finalizing their last Will's & Final testaments, of course, with the Ravens defense going to treat Brady like a Barbie doll, I understand why....
  6. I think it's fair to say, the Chinese Gov. Couldn't care less about the environment as long as foreign company's ( Wall Street ) usher in capital and products to build, don't get me wrong i love Chinese rice, as long as it's made with jasmine.. I will take a Maylasia reel or Bangladesh made reel over China most any day.
  7. Not quite as cozy as the 50/51 frames, but very, very close. I do not use the Ci4+ so I do not know at all there.
  8. Hopefully The Ravens take out the Pat's,.. I mean a Denver fan can Hope...

Welcome to the site! There are many Great Fisherman on the forums who target Smallies as well as Largemouth. Enjoy ..
  10. I like the maxima line. I guess it depends on your use, you can pick a soft or hard line out of your list.
  11. Pulling for the steelers, they won the first quarter.. We will see, I wanna see it get meaner though, like last time they played...
  12. Did you ask this a bit earlier?
  13. I think you may need to back off the cast control a good bit, does that reel have both centrifugal brakes and magnetic? If so, set 2 cent. And start @5 setting... Use a 1/2 bell, bank, casting plug whatever you have... Are you using mono, or Braid?
  14. How much distance are you getting? How much weight? What line type are you using? I feel like this is more of a " Reel set- up issue " than anything. Even a 6' rod should give reasonable distance. Are you new to using baitcasters? I prefer 7' on most of my crankbaiting, shorter rods can be sweet though in close/ tight quarters. On the small rivers a 6'6" is appreciated over a 7'
  15. Make a go fast box... I often only go with a couple bags of Kut-tale worms, pocket pack of hooks, a few tungsten slips. A box with a couple squarebills, a couple DT 6's, you get the ideal. Needn't be complicated. Simplicity is Bliss....
  16. Nope, it shouldn't creak, squeak or anything at all. Just hold your reel.
  17. Keep the comedy coming guys, that's some funny stuff...lol
  18. Did you catch it on your drop shot rig? How's braid on that spinning reel working for ya? Oh, nice catch!
  19. Gold w/ black back, On the small rivers around here a redish, orange belly is hot at times, as is a Tilapia.
  20. Supercell T-storms, Been caught in a couple of these on the lake, not much warning, Bad, Bad, Stuff...
  21. My error, we call them spinning reels down here, lol.. SpinCast here are Zebco 202, 33 etc.. My apologies, to you & Sam!
  22. Excellent information Sam, however, his reel of choice is a SpinCaster, as in push button Zebco 33 style.. Not spinning nor Baitcasting..Peace!
  23. I've rattled in more than a few deer, I have also rattled in more than a few Bass too !
  24. I got it in nov 2013 after thanksgiving, it was the most evil flu I ever had, ever, in fact I felt bad for 3 months.... Hospitals are saying 30% of all ER visits are confirmed flu. It does seem to be everywhere.. School will be starting back soon, it will become even more rampant.
