As a fan of ESPN, I'm saddened by the news Stuart

fell to cancer. Enjoyed his reports and commercials.

RIP

RIP Stuart. He really was as cool as the other side of the pillow.

He fought cancer for a while and mostly under the radar.  He will be missed

If you haven't seen it, check out the 14 +  minute tribute...very emotional. Scott Van Pelt especially had a difficult time. It was obvious Stuart made an impact on his co-workers. Really feel bad for his two daughters...having lost my mother a few months ago, I know the pain, but I am a 51 year old. I believe his daughters are 19 and 14... can't imagine how difficult it is on them. May God Bless Stuart and his family. RIP.

He conducted himself with Class both in front & behind the camera.

RIP Mr. Scott.

One of my favorites. Prayers to the family and those in the sports community that knew him.

He was way too young to go.

Wouldn't it be great if our government would take some of the billions of dollars in foreign aid, conflicts and social programs and declare war on all cancers?

Maybe we could understand it better and find a cure for them all.

RIP Stuart Scott. You will always be "one of a kind."

He truly was one of the great ones. His story is that of strength and courage. He lived life fully and his legacy already is showing in those who have spoken of him since his passing. He touched so many. RIP

Every time he used the phrase "Boo-Yah!" it made me smile.

RIP Stuart ... Boo-Yah!

It made me think of the bait and Roland Martin.

Boo-yah is a Foxy Brown reference.

He was a class act.  He had away of delivering the good and bad sides of sports in a way that had dignity and belief but never an over the top perspective.  Reporters of this character are in short supply.  He will be missed.

Sad news. RIP Scott and may your family have strength in this difficult time.

Yeah, I really liked him at ESPN.  Tough loss, great speech accepting the Jimmy V award though!

Very touching. Thanks for posting.

He really was one of the good guys in the reporting world, never mind just sports world.

Still laugh every time I hear the "colder than the other side of the pillow" line.

tragic news.  he was all about living to the fullest....  his energy was incredible.

One of my favorites at ESPN... sucks to hear that he died
