Collecting tackle is as much a part of the fishing experience as catching fish.... As time wanes on you collect more..

For my likes, it's a 7' ML avid spinning, throwing 1/4 oz pop'r type baits, w/ 1000 size spinning. I will use a M 7' as well minnow floaters.. In Florida I use MH to H baitcasting in freshwater lakes, with heavy hydrilla and lily pads, throwing larger cedar prop baits, like snook said, it's really about bait size vs cover = rod selection and sport factor..

Trade you a reel & some baits, lol.. I will even throw in my bit older Google phone... No? I'm playin.. It really does take some adjustment. But if you are not willing to buy future Mac products, why waste the time...

I used a standard bic lighter to pre- heat some tungsten slip's, smaller = less pre- heat , larger tungsten = more pre- heat... Having my oven preheated at around 250 I believe, I put my weights on a baking sheet and allow the oven to do the work... Turns out very good, I've done 1/16 to 1 1/2 in Chartruse, same brand as you have..

I can't add much of anything that hasn't already been said. Very palmable, well made, I found the external brake dial, nice to have and allows real additional braking in windy conditions... Personally I feel it's the best reel on the market at its price. I use 7.2.1 and no shortage of torque, I really like the clutch design too, I can engage it with my thumb.. Like my Diawas of years past, except the Shimano completely engage's where my Daiwa's always took a fraction of handle turn to fully engage.. A small thing, but as far as I'm concerned one I always missed when I became a Shimano fanboy!

Berkley power tubes, they are still my favorite, as far as jig heads/ hook size, that is going to vary a bit, I use 2/0 round bend to 3/0 round bend primarily... Sometimes I T-trig a tube, not often though.

Pacers, I would often go to the games, he would crack me up on time- outs.. He would walk out in the floor , away from the bench, assistance coaches with him... And nothing, they just looked around, never said anything, ever.. TV time out, Team time out, didn't matter... Rick Pitino on the other hand, ( Boston ) had the most profane mouth during the games I have ever heard, he always runs his mouth, lol.

Yep, it's what I call my " Super fun rig " 5'6" Tom Mann rod w/ a 1990 500 size Shimano spinner.. 2 to 4 test... Throwing spinner flys, tiny count down Rapalas, 1/32, 1/16, jigs caught a few bigger largemouth on this, as well as crappie, bluegill, and huge redear... It's super fun alright!

Oh I agree on the fishing shows, they were quite good up to the time when Ray Scott sold to ESPN.. I just won't watch them much, if at all. DB had a cool little show after he won the classic, I really enjoyed being "Schooled"
