  1. Flipping Jigs, Casting Jigs, Naked jig heads, these are pretty much NOT the only way to fish these. My 2 Favorite ways are just a T-rig & Rage Rig, I also Carolina Rig the biggest of craws. I actually prefer a 5" Kalins in my Flipping or Casting jigs, I do use the crawfish as jig trailers at times. In cooler weather I like pork...
  2. A new Career, that's a great accomplishment! Now, find a new Football team to cheer for! Way to go flyfisher...

  4. Skip coffee for a day and consider the Saros 1000 ..
  5. All time favorite is Rapala, with Lucky Craft very close, on the lower price spectrum I give Xcalibur excellent praise...
  6. To assist with your question, which reel?
  7. The only Loomis rod line I do not own is the Venerable NRX... For my money it's the GLX, with recoils, I own and use 2 Gl2 re- vamped rods. 3 & 4 power these rods are not heavy and dead, in fact, I can feel quite good with them.. Is it my choice @ $200? Nope, is it a imx? Nope, a Glx? Nope.. It's a gl2..if you can grab them at 50% off retail, they are really decent at that price. I would not want to invest $ 200 in a gl2, it's money going toward the wildcard which has been discontinued anyway, I grabbed one Glx this past year, like new @ 200, you have to shop around. Many of the Neptune blue rods were tank tuff, and well made. The new gl2 rods are not bad, just not great. I have not used a re- formulated imx or glx there are mixed opinions on these. I tryed a new imx, in store/ with my reel and pitched with it. I wasn't overwhelmed by it and chose the gently used glx instead... Next rod for me is a NFC rod!
  8. Sure, you can cut the hook out, or, if you have some heavier fasteners ( nuts & bolts ) etc.. You can use that, double or Tripple up on lighter weights as well. Point is start out heavier, then, you will begin to understand the basics of casting with baitcasters, practice!
  9. Seems most things in life Have to be learned, I would not recommend giving up. We have a saying around here."No Hill to High for a Climber"
  10. Yea, if the scrim is showing, it seems a lost cause to me, but best wishes....
  11. Truck, Boat, Farm, cattle, pond, hogs, chickens, oh then my wife...
  12. Come on now, you stated you were going and had, sidelined/ replaced/ going to replace, your shimanos, I simply asked which shimanos were you/ have you, sidelined/ replaced with this Chinese reel. It's a fair question.
  13. Had two okuma trios 30 & 30S... Those above pics look pretty similar to me, gave those reels a fair shot, traded them off pretty quickly.
  14. Which Shimano reels are you going to sideline in favor of this exceptional Chinese reel?
  15. Why are you pushing this reel so hard? Just curious...
  16. Maybe the kind of Vet. That's in Russell Crowe's version of 3:10 to Yuma

  21. Interesting story, of course I'm really not surprised, leave it to TMZ, to get the scoop. Hoover would be proud...the Referee should be fined for NOT using performance enhancing drugs... Christie sure likes to hang with Jones, Hmm....
