  1. I just figure with the Boat Wrx side having their issues that Bait Wrx isn't far behind
  2. Hmm I wonder if the Bait WRX sale is more about liquidation/going out of business than Black Friday. Either way, good deals to be had!
  3. I know its still 20% off, but its a little strange
  4. I added several random items to my cart and it did this to 2 out of 5. Cmon TW let’s get it together! Sadly, looks like this will be the first time I don’t order from them on Black Friday in many years
  5. Decided to give the + size floating jerkbait thing more of a try this Fall/Winter. Already had a few on hand, but the bait monkey told me I needed more for good measure 🤣
  6. I have a decent stash of colors but Gizzard Shad and Pro Purple have been my go to choices lately
  7. I just ordered the RVⅡ-C66M+, really looking forward to fishing this rod. If it works out I'll probably look at the 68MH as well
  8. JDM Tackle Heaven has them listed at $219-241, though I've seen aa little lower/higher on other sites. The exchange rate has been very good to JDM tackle enthusiasts lately!
  9. This exchange rate has lead to me buying a lot of stuff lately, but its ok since the savings are so good right? At least that's what I'm telling my wife...
  10. I wish they used the ecs reel seat on the super like they did the regular, maybe just painted red or whatever. I think the one used is from alps? I’ll probably give one of the regular combat sticks a go at some point
  11. My favorite big worm rods in no particular order: Orochi xx emtf-first generation EG Orion Black Rose EG Kaleido Rapid Gunner HD EG Kaleido egoist Tulala Monstruo 74MHC-it is still pretty new to me but has proven itself as a solid bottom contact rod so far-very versatile overall Would love to try a bc2 one of these days, seems to have near legendary status among its fans
  12. Sell on any of the online forums and purchase a shipping label through pirate ship using whatever carrier is most economical, or has an office close to your house. I only buy labels via pirate ship these days, whether it be for fishing gear or otherwise. Not only are the prices good, but an insurance claim through pirate ship is much easier than going through USPS/FedEx/ups directly
  13. The hookup tackle 15% sale has started
  14. I suspect we will be seeing a revamped version of the Evergreen/Daiwa Combat sticks. Hopefully they drop those horrid Fuji ACS reel seats...
  15. Looks like a variation on the Deps Cover Scat or "high specific gravity" worm. I'll definitely be grabbing some of these
  16. I think the three combos mentioned are about perfect and should cover just about everything. Only suggestion I’d make is keep a few different sizes/types of leader material on hand for the spinning setup so you can adapt as needed
  17. The bad (or good?) thing about megabass rods is that they are fairly accessible and can be a gateway to other Japanese manufacturers Here’s some interesting reading on various jdm rods https://jdmfishing.com/product-category/rods/
  18. I’ve been leaning more towards easy shiners over fats for a while now, for both swim jigs and basic ballheads. Obviously, they both work well, just gotta experiment and see what works best for you
  19. Both would be a good choice, just depends on whether you want something with a little more power or not. I believe the bandersnatch is now called the the blade in the p5 series
  20. My best so far this year came on a brown finesse jig. I'm guessing the biggest will come on a jig, tube, or walking topwater-but who knows
  21. Definitely unfortunate news, big fan of the fat boy and straight tails. Upton's are becoming harder to get now as well it seems. Sad to see this happen to some of my favorite hand pours
  22. I absolutely love tubes and use the <3” sizes quite a bit. Below are my favorites, I usually order direct from the manufacturer so I can get bulk packs, though smaller count bags are available. Chunky small tubes: Right bite baits 2.5 Skinny small tubes: big bite 2.5 mizmo bass teasers Above are my usuals, but also consider get bit baits, river rock baits, and ISG
  23. Most common for me is size 2, 4 or 1 Hayabusa dsr or Owner Mosquito Light, but I don't find myself nose hooking a lot these days
  24. How are their shipping rates? Been looking at ordering some random items from them
  25. I don’t think I’ve had to pay sales tax through the Hookup in the past, but that may have changed. I miss TTT too though
