The pop max/pop x are tops for me. The evergreen OB popper is also worthy of consideration. If you are more budget minded, the basic rebel pop-r is the way to go

I'd consider looking at the Major Craft Nanoace rods, they run $99.99-$129.99 but I feel they fish well above their price point. As mentioned above, the Dobyns Fury, Tatula XT and St Croix Mojo rods are also good options. Tackle Warehouse usually has a tax stimulus sale but I'm not sure if its happening this year with actually tax day being pushed back

This is typical for the classic sale, just wait a few weeks for the tax stimulus sale and get 10% off. I feel like Tackle Warehouse could have a 99% off sale every Tuesday and people would find something to complain about.

They are well constructed and aesthetically pleasing if you are ok with the camo grips. I had the chatterbait rod and it was near perfect for the application and did fine for other moving baits as well. Unfortunately, I just couldn’t adjust to the reel seat, the acs is somewhat polarizing and definitely not for me. If it wasn’t for the reel seat I’d probably have a few of these rods

I've always been a Power Pro guy but have been considering putting SX1 on a new multi-use spinning combo I'm putting together. I'm big on looking at line diameter and not just strength rating, but unfortunately I can't find any manufacturer supplied diameters on this line. I reached out to Sunline but have not heard back yet. For guys that have used both, how do you feel the diameter of SX1 compares to Power Pro? More specifically, I'm looking at 12# SX1 and have traditionally used 10/15# Power Pro on spinning setups. I'd appreciate any help/feedback

I have the non Iovino version of this rod (same rod really) and have used it for light texas, small jigs, 1/4oz poppers/jerkbaits, and neko rigs. My primary uses have been drop shot, ned rig, and grubs/paddletails.

There are some deals out there on Tatula HD/150/200 reels. I've been nothing but impressed with the entire Tatula series

Little late to the game here, but my vote goes Nanoace. I feel this series performs well beyond its price point, I have 3 and am quite happy with them. That said, the Corzza rods are prettier, but don’t seem to be any more sensitive and have more moderate actions. Also, I really don’t like the reel seat on the casting Corzza rods

Now I just have to decide on a reel to pair it with, thinking a JDM Ballistic

In my experience the only brand truly "excluded" is Megabass and the discount is reflected on the final invoice for everything else.

I’ve never ordered during one of their sales, is the discount still applicable to excluded items like TW does? Not expecting megabass of course
