  1. Man I love Cuban sandwiches. Never made one. Best one I’ve ever eaten was at a Tajiki tea house in Boulder, Colorado ??‍♂️
  2. Oh man I remember this thread ?
  3. Sounds like a recipe for a bad mood.

Or what we want them to want!
  5. First 2 are not surprising at all. I’m surprised at #3 though.
  6. I love a thorough fishing report with pictures myself.
  7. The one lure that you predict will catch you the most bass this year is the one that I swore off ? the variance in experiences with different lures and presentations among bass fisherpeople is one of the great things about our sport. There are no two bass fishers alike! The weird part is I love a noisy topwater lure at times, like a big jointed jitterbug. For a while my PB was a fish I caught around midnight on a jitterbug. There is something about the whopper plopper (or about me), that doesn’t let me replicate the success I have with pretty much any other topwater presentation.
  8. Someone must have beat me to it as well, because I’ve never had so much as a boil on the WP.
  9. Gimmicky top water baits. I can catch them all day long with poppers, walkers, frogs and buzzbaits, but I’ve seen too many topwater bites shut down completely as soon as I bust out the Whopper Plopper and the like to not retire those useless noisemakers for good.
  10. I have a feeling the Pop Max is going to reclaim its throne as top numbers bait for me. It’s been my best numbers bait 4 out of the last 6 years, and I think it’s gonna go for 5 out of 7. I’m feeling it.

Not saying it won’t catch fish, but if my plastic craw loses an appendage, it gets replaced.
  12. Very nice. The bass fishing in Mexico is out of this world. Can’t wait to go back myself.
  13. I use a #1 or 1/0 Gamakatsu Finesse Wide Gap hooks for wacky rigging. It’s the perfect wacky hook in my opinion. The wide gap and how the point is not lined up with the shaft or eye really gives a good hook up percentage.
  14. Huk long sleeve shirts, gloves, and face shields. I’d recommend them. I’ve used Huk for several years and have no complaints. Good quality and very comfortable, lightweight and breathable.
  15. While rare, there is no doubt some 8# class fish swim in the waters we fish! Love the optimism!
  16. After last year's spinnerbait showing (caught my 3 biggest), its tough to say something other than that. But a popper has taken my biggest fish 4 of the last 6 years. I spend a lot of time throwing both, but I guess recency bias dictates that I go with the spinnerbait. Specifically a 3/4oz Strike King Tour Grade copper and bronze double willow with a "Green Tomato" skirt, trailing a 3.25" Rage Swimmer.
  17. Not as many as I worked . I didn’t keep track, but if there is open water and I don’t get out at least a couple times a week, I start to get cranky and restless.
  18. I don't quite get this either. But its probably the same guys who will be fishing in cold weather with full bibs, coat, hat and gloves but will be wearing sandals ? I wear one during peak season when I really need sun protection. In the summer I always have one on, but I also have zero skin exposed other than my finger tips. The ones I use are pretty breathable and don't fog up the sunglasses too badly.
  19. That what I always joke to myself as well ? “they must be fishing for Italian bass!”
  20. I like to have specific set ups for most techniques. I do throw buzzbaits on my lipless rod though. I don’t throw buzzbaits enough to “justify” to myself a specific combo for them, but my lipless setup’s specs match what I would want in a buzzbait rig as well (7’ MH-F with a 6:1 reel spooled with monofilament.)
  21. Whenever I scroll through this thread, I’m amazed by the bait-making talent on display. Some good inspiration for my own bait-making goals.
  22. I really struggle to wrap my head around the garlic scents. Why on earth garlic would be a pleasant or attractive scent/taste to a bass is far beyond me.
  23. The first and only air-to-air kill by an F22. Don’t think many people thought the F22 raptor’s first confirmed kill would be a Chinese balloon ??‍♂️
  24. @AlabamaSpothunter still crushing it. I’m waiting for the day I check this thread to see that you got a whole 5 fish limit on one cast of the A-rig. You and @TnRiver46 are keeping this thread going. I can’t wait to be able to contribute again. The cabin fever has been BAD the last 2 weeks. I could potentially be wetting a line in less than 8 weeks, but it all depends on how much of a lion March is. So until then I’ll keep living through you guys!
  25. My ride to get coffee this morning was a little on the chilly side.
