  1. Have one expensive bonfire lol Jk. Did the soft plastics melt from the gasoline? If not you might be able to wash them off and apply some after market scent.
  2. Only brand I've used are powerpro and suffix 832
  3. I find mono is cheap and a good line to learn baitcasting with. In fact I have no problems with mono and fluro, braid on the other hand tends to dig once in a while and cause me a backlash even with 50 pound braid.
  4. Thanks I'll put that on my tw list. Just looked at it and saw a few good reviews
  5. How do I delete this comment lol just submitted a duplicate
  6. Anyone recommend a brand with small double willows.?
  7. I only fish out of lakes and use a 3 pounder anchor with 20 foot of line. If I want to face the wind I'll put the anchor to the front. Anchor to back if I want to my back to the wind. When trying to point my yak towards the bank I'll anchor in the middle. This all depends on the wind direction of course. The example I have was for a south wind and fishing a west bank. Forgot to mention you'll need an Anchor trolley. If I want to move I'll just pull on the anchor line and let the wind take me further down.
  8. I got a few of the lipless for some reason they have salt water hooks on them. The retrieve was pretty. Like a shad searching for food.
  9. Daiwa lexa 300 or 400, shimano curado 300. But even with 60 pound braid a regular 150 or 200 size reel should be fine doubt you can cast a frog far enough to get down to a bare spool.
  10. Lol I have tie off points on my car. But not on my kayak
  11. there are no solid handle at the bow or stern lol
  12. where do you guys tie the bow and stern ropes to on the kayak? Been wanting to get on the high way and was wondering if the bungee cords were okay to use as tie points. Been doing that for a while now but I've only been going like 40 mph tops. I have a trident 13 if that helps
  13. I think they can cross with other white bass. I've noticed 10 years ago when we caught wippers the two dottes on the tongue patch were easy to see now some of them are are merging in to form a single dotte. I could be wrong but white bass usually don't get to the 18 to 20 inch range here
  14. Depends on how deep you want it to go, smaller fluro lines will go deeper.
  15. I have a 6 10 mh xf rod. Most versatile rod I have, use it for everything except lures with trebles.
  16. I don't have hook up issues. My only problem is that I actually catch frogs with my frogs instead of bass lol
  17. I've had bass a few times this year some where okay other times they weren't as good. I guess it depends on when and where it was caught and how it was cooked. The only lake fish I take home now are crappie, walleye, and channel catfish. Though I do miss wippers but that mercury is scary lol
  18. Bearing upgrades help to. Usually if I cast one handed I only get half to 3/4 the distance I usually get when using two hands. And at first it does feel like your going to toss your rod lol.
  19. More fish on the 1.5 for me but bigger bait sometimes pulls bigger fish
  20. Bought some on sale last year they do catch fish but would I pay full price? Probably not
  21. They make backlashing more fun to
  22. I hear people say slower for deep cranks and faster for square bills. I use a 5. For my deep cranking anything that dives 6 foot and under. Squarebills and lipless a 6.4.1 reel works for me. Tough I know a lot of guys who use 7. gear ratios for sb and lipless.
  23. That's weird, I was going to say check your guides but you already did that. What kind of stuff do you fish in? sometimes I get frays way past the lures but it's only like 10 foot at the most not 20 30 yards. Could be your batch of invisx is bad to. I would try a different line and see hot that goes.
