  1. It's voodoo man I'm sure those senkos got black magic casted on them lol
  2. Im a fan of the Mitchell pros.
  3. You'll want to look at the specs of the rod and see if it can handle the line size and lures weights you plan to use. As for the bobber I'm not sure what others use it for but, I use it when the catfish are really shallow or I use a big slip bobber when using live bait.
  4. Try a double Palomar. Though power pro shouldn't be a problem other braids like nanofill I had to use a double Palomar because the knot kept slipping
  5. Smaller worms I like roboworms, mid size I like to use zoom and banglures, big worms are manns
  6. So does that stuff not make your soft plastics hard like super glue? If so I need some lol been going through chatter baitz trailers like crazy
  7. I was wondering about that saw a few at cabelas that didn't have markings as well only the price tag showed the model number
  8. Only when then weather gets to crazy,
  9. So I've been hearing good things about them but besides the Winn grip, how do they compare to other rods in that price range ( veritas, carrot stick, compre, ghost, mojo, and others) in terms of sensitivety, and weight? I held a few at the store the balance was okay, some of them had guides that were off alignment. But since they do go on sale a lot I'm just curious. Need to replace my old ugly stick I use for hybrids and light catfish fishing.
  10. Nice cut the rod up and hang it with the reel too Jk. Congrats man
  11. Nice, ain't nothing like big fish on light tackle.
  12. Holly! In Kansas wow
  13. Get the lews that you casted a couple times lol.
  14. Amount of time I can fish lol, to dang busy
  15. And if your not good at feathering the spool then don't do it
  16. Your cast control knob on the handle side? You will backlash a lot if you don't replace it. I think pitches and short cast are okay but don't try to bomb it.
  17. Should of blasted your air horn or whistle lol, lucky I Don't have to compete with other yakers, but then I have to deal with butt hole boaters once in a while
  18. When the water is murky/stained and grass is present I throw a chatter bait. But my go to lure is a Texas rigged worm by banglures.
  19. Better be a nrx or higher end rod lol if I'm only going to be fishing two rods
  20. Bought a yoshikawa spinning reel for trout fishing, first day it was fine had a little rain so the reel got wet. Second day it was really rough to crank the handle. Junked the reel and threw on my old Mitchell.
  21. Been hammering the dinks on a 12 inch man's jelly worm Texas rigged. No big ones yet but suprised to see tiny bass eat the big worm
  22. To bleed a fish you cut the tail off and hang it to bleed while it's alive. I'd much rather give them a quick knock on the head, and soak the fillets in salt water later.
  23. Why would he be better off buying fish from the store?
  24. Just make sure to put them on ice, or keep alive on a stringer/livewell until your ready to fillet or clean them. Don't want your catch to spoil before you get home
  25. I've been using my 6-8 mh ex rod, I do lose little fish once in a while do to hooksets but if a big one hits 9 out of 10 times they are coming to be CPR. I couldn't justify a new setup just for one bait lol.
