  1. They look great!
  2. Depends on weather and how lazy I'm feeling. Used to be a morning guy untilI started working 2nd shift.
  3. Don't fish tubes much, not sure what a little corky is but I heard you can stick a small piece of peanut foam inside a tube after you nose hook it for a Texas rig. To give the bait a slower fall or floating action.
  4. Check out the fishing tackle section, butt load of information about jerkbaits in one of the pinned threads. And welcome to BR.
  5. I've seen travel tubes for two piece rods but haven't seen any for one piece 7+ foot rods you could always go buy some two inch pvc tube and make your own will have to leave out reel tough.
  6. I don't think that is a composite rod, look to be graphite. You can pick up rod socks for pretty cheap at bps or Wal-Mart.
  7. Hello and welcome to br
  8. Hello and welcome to br!
  9. A theory is fluro lines sinks putting more down ward force on your crankbait wether that force is enough to bring your lure down deeper is up to you to decide. I should of phrased that as fluro is smaller in diameter then mono or copolymer with the same pound test allowing your bait to dive deeper when using 10 pound fluro instead of 10 pound mono. But like Tim said it could just be a myth. Still I like to believe I'm getting a foot or two of depth.
  10. Flurocarbon line allows your crankbait to dive deeper, when using same diameter as mono or coplyomer. If you don't need the extra foot or two of depth monofilament or copolymer is cheaper. Also if your fishing gem clear water where fish are line shy fluro comes into play.
  11. When the hydrilla gets thick around here I throw a small 1/4 ounce swim or grass jig.
  12. I use both brands but for some reason the little dividers fit more snuggly on my Plano. Had to use super glue on a few flambeu
  13. I picked up a cheap cabelas scale looks just like the luggage one featured above. It's accurate enough and fits easily in my back pack or pocket for bank fishing. 5 bucks
  14. Yeah bank fishing sucks sometimes gotta set that power bait or you'll miss them as they school by.
  15. I went fishing in my toilet. Glad I didn't catch anything lol
  16. Welcome to BR!
  17. I do to, you can find really cheap mono to spool up and just make a long cast then cut your backing and spool on main line. I hate guessing and estimating how much backing to cut.
  18. What's wrong with the mono line you got on right now? But if you got the cash most brands in the 20+dollar/200 yards spool are good. Only crank rod i use fc on is my dd rod and its seagar invisx the line has stretch to help out the treble hooks plus you get that tick in your line on slack bites. Stay away from the cheaper fluro lines and good luck.
  19. Brass is another option
  20. Roboworms, Berkeley gulp minnows, zoom trick worms
  21. I had problems with the knot slipping, a double Palomar fixed that. Then the line began to look like it was frayed after a few weeks of fishing I got scared and removed it but didn't really have problems with it snapping.
  22. Acme little cleos, they work great here when the trout won't hit a inline spinner.
  23. Trick worm or a flickshake I use a weighted wacky hook from cabelas and just hook it through middle with or without oring
  24. Depends oh what size baits but. I like the mh rods helps me out when I have to pull a fish and the hydrilla it got stuck in.
